I was strolling through the mall on last Saturday and noticed a fabulous pair of tall round-toe boots. 10 minutes later my bf, out of nowhere, said "I really like those boots," pointing to a similar pair in a different store. The very next day, while browsing the October Shop Etc. Magazine, I ran across a little feature on tall round-toe boots for fall. Mere coincidence? I think not. Round-toe boots are appealing to everyday fashionistas, the opposite sex, and fashion editors! I took it as a sign that I needed to do a little research on round-toe boots for Stiletto Jungle. We need some options and here are a few of my favorite finds.
It's the glam bow detail that makes the Steve Madden "Brandey" boot (right) special. This is the kind of boot you want to show off. The sleek design looks very New York fashionista and it would be right at home with your most glamorous fall wardrobe pieces. I'm picturing black leggings and a dark grey sweater tunic topped off with these fun boots.
Red is still the bright light in fall's muted color palette, and the "Parisa" boot by Jessica Simpson (left) is fabulous in red. The platform style adds painless inches, while taking advantage of the chance to showcase two trends in one shoe, and the slouchy style creates a slightly bohemian flare. Not crazy about this much red on one shoe? The Jessica Simpson "Parisa" boot is available in Black and Winter White in addition to Ruby (shown).
For a budget buy, try Unlisted by Kenneth Cole's "Sure Shot" boot (right). They have the same trendy platform style as many of the hottest boots, but are about 1/3 of the price! The ruching just above the heel is a nice touch. I would never guess that these boots cost less than $60-- what a steal! This is a great way to try on the round-toe boot trend without a hefty price tag.
