My recent post proclaiming my unending love for Origins Never a Dull Moment face scrub had been up and running for all of seven hours when I got a response from Stiletto Jungle Music Editor and Girl Talk panelist Pearl C. What prompted this quick response? Pearl's equally strong devotion to another Origins scrub: Modern Friction. Here's what Pearl had to say:
"Okay, okay, so you love the Never a Dull Moment scrub. I get it. I know ya do. I think I bought it on YOUR rec actually! But... I have stumbled upon something better. I freaking LOVE this stuff," Pearl starts in a tone that, even via e-mail, sounds whipped into a beauty product-induced frenzy. A link to the amazing product in question follows, and Pearl continues her excited testimonial.
"Modern Friction. Holler. It's a scrub made of rice starch. This stuff is awesome. In fact, I was in love with something similar made by Dermalogica, but it was too pricey-- like, 50 bucks a bottle. So, I had to downgrade. Basically this stuff is a scrub that you massage on your face while still dry. Then you add a little bit of water and massage a little more. And then a little more water. At a certain point the scrub becomes sudsy after [enough] water is added. So, it's like a scrub and cleanser all in one! After you have washed it all off, your face feels so smooth and clean. It's incredible. Highly recommend this one. I love it!"
Tell me that's not the best product recommendation ever. Beauty product love that strong is meant to be shared. Thanks Pearl!
