Mischa Barton wearing Karta

Recently spotted: Mischa Barton wearing a dress so fun and funky that it's nearly impossible to take your eyes off of it (left). Is it the vintage cut? The '60s color palette? The intricate stone details across the top of the bodice? Who knows. There's just something about this dress that is outstanding.

Want to steal Mischa's funky fun minidress look? She's wearing the Multi Colored Print Short Dress from luscious label du jour Karta (right). This Los Angeles based clothing company is known for creating simple clothes with amazing cuts and loads of embellishments, from stones to beads to flowers. Designer Judi Lambert is definitely hitting a home run with the Karta label as it is currently being spotted on backs of some of Hollywood's hottest young starlets.

So, what's the deal with this hot little minidress? It's crafted from 100% chalfis polyester. Yes, you read that right: polyester. When's the last time you saw a red carpet dress made out of polyester? Admittedly, this isn't your mother's poly. According to the Fabric Dictionary, Chalfis is one of the softest fabrics made. It is a lightweight, plain-weave fabric that can be made from wool, cotton, or man made fabrics. Very unique. I'm sensing that Karta is just beginning it's reign as hot label on the rise.
