It's easy to make snap judgments when it comes to a woman's hands. There is nothing worse than seeing a healthy young lady walking around with dried up hands-- it makes you wonder what other parts she ignores! So, in order to get the maximum effect out of a manicure, a good hand moisturizer is a must! I absolutely love Neutrogena Norwegian Formula Intensive Hand Cream. I really love the small size it comes in. That way I can re-apply after washing my hands, and throughout the day. I can tell a big difference when I use the cream. My hands stay softer much longer.

Also, it is crucial for ladies to remember that when hands get wet, they also get dry and wrinkled. Dried out and wrinkled = ugly looking hands + a chipped $20 manicure. The best way to avoid getting hands wet is to use gloves when washing dishes and moisturizing often. Hey, if all those classic, beautiful starlets wore gloves while rocking their cashmere cardigans and pearls, that's a good enough example for me. Let's follow in their foot steps.

For people who don't have the time to re-apply or don't want to carry a tube of hand cream, Eucerin Intensive Hand Cream is awesome. Applying this stuff in the a.m. and p.m will do wonders. The only thing is it doesn't go on light, and it takes a while to absorb into the skin, but you can't have it all!

For a simple nail maintenance, I use Nailtiques Nail Protein Formula 2 Treatment. This clear polish keeps nails strong and avoids chipping. I use this before I put on polish or by itself. It has a slight shine and it helps build strong nails in order to prevent breakage.
