Let's play a little game of word association. When I say fall shoes, you say? Boots, right? I know, I know. Boots are the first thing most of us think about when we think about fall footwear. But, this season there are so many amazing new styles available outside the boot aisle that it may take some coaxing to get you to purchase those much-needed fall boots.

Some of the most creative fall shoes are being produced by affordable shoe standby Nine West, which has gradually pulled away from the standard mall shoe store pack over the past few years. Nine West now boasts some of the most fashion-forward designs of all of the budget-conscious shoe lines, which are on display in the recently released Nine West Fall Lookbook.

One of my favorite finds from the Fall Lookbook is the new Yung Bootie (pictured left). This strappy, open-toed patent leather bootie is part pump, part boot, and 100% hot. Nine West is currently taking pre-orders for the Black Patent and Silver Patent versions of the Yung Bootie, which will be delivered in November and October, respectively. Mark my words, this one is going to sell out before it's even available on store shelves.

Other hot finds from the Fall Lookbook include the retro look Dasolina lace-up suede pump, the luxe lace-covered Iam bootie, and the trendy Cedargrove ruched leather bootie. And, if you are still thinking full-length boots for fall, the Nine West Galen-- available in suede and super soft leather styles-- is pitch perfect with a rounded point toe and strap detail.
