Skinny and slouchy in the same pair of jeans? Isn't that an oxymoron? Not if you're talking about Current Elliott, the hottest new denim line to hit the stores in years. The frenzy around this hot new denim label is showing no signs of decreasing as each new style that appears creates a whole new buzz.

Like most groundbreaking labels, there's a story behind the amazing Current Elliott designs. Current Elliott is the brainchild of design team Emily Current and Meritt Elliott, the same team behind the label Maude. Their love of vintage denim led them to seek out and customize vintage finds by tailoring for a more modern fit. The look caught on among the Hollywood elite and a new denim line was born. Current Elliott jean styles are each modeled after a real life vintage denim find, and each style is named for the year of origin of the original vintage sample that served as the model for the style. And the unique names of the washes? They describe the wear level, from "loved" to "super loved." Is it just me, or is the story alone enough to convince you that you can't go another day without a pair?

This 1968 Skinny Slouch [top left], recently spotted on Katie Holmes, is a new arrival at online boutique ShopJake.com. I'm ridiculously smitten.
