There's something about hard times that somehow makes expensive things longed for that much more. I'm not sure if it's that you might be concerned all those brands are slowly but surely filing Chapter 11 and closing (which, see the news lines, some are!) or rather that when you can't have something you want it even more. But, for me, with the economy in the slump that it's in-- the job market comparable to a natural disaster and an upcoming election between two candidates not too many people are sure about-- I just want to run to Gucci even more and buy buy buy. Thank god for some small source of willpower or my MasterCard would be taken away by the credit card gods for my own sake.

Speaking of MasterCard, it is currently running a savings program designed to enable cardholders to get discounts from thousands of stores. They have made a wide selection of stores available-- you can take a peek and see for yourself the brands, ranging from The Home Depot to jewelry companies or even a computer. Once you re-enroll, you simply use your current MasterCard and you'll have free access to all of the participating businesses and start saving. Just in time for you to put some of that paycheck back into the bank for a rainy day - you never know when it's going to rain economically these days... and when it rains, it pours! So start researching at Savings.Mastercard.com and save enough for those Chapter 11 fears... Gucci Spring '09 collection anyone?
