It seems like everywhere I look I’m seeing a lot of romantic and dark looks for the winter. There are more accessories with wood, structurally unique shoes and jackets seen on the runways. Passion and mystery with a twist of punk seems to be setting the stage for the desired look this season. As much roughness and edginess inspired clothing there is, there also is the classic lady like glamorous look that helps balance out this fashion.

Most of you know by now that I love shoes and handbags, so today I feel like shining the spotlight on some heels with flair. Don’t start asking if they’re comfortable because, when it comes to sexy shoes, sometimes you are going to have to bite your tongue and wear them as if you’re strolling through heaven. This season’s shoes are definitely twisted and look like they’re inspired by a certain architectural structure. But, I’ll be featuring the more feminine flirty pumps and sandals from this season. As much as those architectural shoes are different, they seem impossible for me to warm up to and get inspired by. So, don’t let those obnoxious highly complicated sandals and pumps scare you, there is still hope in the shoe department this season.

These Betsey Johnson “Rally” Pumps [top left] are definitely for a girly girl, but I find them absolutely adorable. I love the feminine vibe they give off and they’re great for next season as well. They also come in black, for those of you who think a pink shoe with a bow is overkill. I usually don’t like bows, but I like the placement of the bow on this shoe. And, the black trim around the edge of the front is so flirty and delicate.

My next pick is the “Dariaa” by Steve Madden [right] and they are super funky! I love the suede, the overlapping of the colors, and the height of the shoe. I think these shoes are rocking! The colors blend well together and are a great color combination for the winter. These shoes are very versatile, especially because mixing fabrics and textures is part of the look this season.

My third pick is a bit conservative compared to the rest. The suede and the metallic leather give it an edge, but the fact that they’re pointy pumps excites me. I love wearing pumps, and I always think they are the classiest option. These "Obsession" Pumps are from Carlos by Carlos Santana, and with the open side and the color, they will look wonderful with jeans and a big bold metallic cuff.

This last pick is not a brand new style, but these shoes are so sexy. I think every woman needs black patent leather shoes in her closet and these Betsey Johnson “Nyla” heels are perfect. The bold pewter button differentiates these shoes from other black patent leather shoes, and truly transforms these shoes to anything but ordinary. I can just envision this pair with some leggings and a cute oversized sweater.

So, as interesting and unique fashion has gotten, there are still the feminine classic looks with a slight twist that can be worn with confidence, but still look like you have embraced the new trends. I definitely appreciate some of the fun, punk rock looks of this season, but at the end of the day, I always gear towards the classics.
