As a child growing up in Germany I hated sweaters. I always felt like my mom suffocated me with layers of sweaters, hence, sweaters still terrify me in my twenties. I remember barely being able to move my arms because I would have on three sweaters, underneath a parka big enough for an eight year old... and I was only four! But, I know it is freezing and I have been shopping for sweaters lately with picky eyes.

I found a neat, warm Front Pocket Dolman Tunic Sweater from Arden B. The color of this sweater is suitable for the winter season, and its large cowl neck gives it a sexy sophisticated look. I love that it can be worn two different ways. You can sexy it up by wearing it off the shoulder if you like, or wear it the turtle neck simple way. It is acrylic, which can be itchy for some, so the solution is to wear a thin shirt or tank top underneath. Overall, the color and the stitching are fabulous while keeping you warm.

My next awesome find is a great deal. For $22.99 you can purchase a classic Merona Argyle V-Neck Sweater from Target via Amazon.com. I love argyle sweaters, they’re so polished looking and go with slacks, as well as jeans. Plus, they look amazing with a nice crisp men’s shirt underneath. I recommend getting this sweater in a larger size because it is 100% cotton. I know Ellen would drool over this sweater, and if I can have her sleek style for $22.99, I’ll take it!

The 525 America Bell Sleeve Turtleneck Sweater is bright-- that’s why I love it! The dazzling lemon color instantly caught my attention. The wide turtleneck and long bell sleeves give this heating device a sexy stylish look, which is hard to give off when wearing a sweater. Although it is chunky, this sweater has a fitted shape to balance the look out. But, as stylish as it is, I would still avoid wearing it with the baggiest pants you own!

With three great options, how could you go wrong… especially if they helped me get rid of my sweater fear? There is definitely something alluring and classy about sweaters when worn correctly. Obviously, they cover up goods men love, but truthfully they can be fun if you expand your wardrobe and implement some different colors in your sweater collection. Sweaters can become dull and boring if you aren’t careful. I know in certain parts of the country having a sweater collection is a necessity, not a luxury, and it gets tough to wear it with style, but with a little color and flair on the sleeves or neck, can do a lot for your look. When it comes to sweaters, little changes can make a big difference.
