Highlighting your eyes is one of the best things you can do for your overall look... that is, if you do it right with the most flattering colors for your skin. With the winter time, I'm always looking for richer colors without being too overwhelmed and making my whole eye and its surrounding areas blackened. So to avoid having black eye syndrome as I'm now naming it, I typically go with lighter applications of the dark colors and always include a lighter shade to fade into. Once I get tired of the brown or smokey combos I pretty much stick to black liquid eyeliner and some mascara.

Apparently someone else was feeling my boredom and created a whole new look with Prescriptives Winter Reflections Cool Eye Color Quad. With four colors ranging from light Oyster to the dark and mysterious Eclipse, there is a way to blend eye colors to make an appealing presentation for the low price of $42! When experimenting with the color combos - Shell, a light pinkish color mixed with Star, a deep charcoal shade makes for a surprising new smokey eye. The shadows are smooth and stay on all day while not causing those horrible creases... you know the ones, dark colors always seem to create, not pretty! I also recommend the eyeshadow brushes from Sephora.com, as they always seem to outlast the rest. The Winter Reflections Quad from Prescriptives is definitely my new winter favorite and even comes in a metallic leather case that's sure to keep you looking chic, in the powder room or on the go. Oh, and did I mention it's a limited edition? Get your creative juices flowing and get pretty now!
