Having had a ripped earlobe, I definitely stay away from heavy ornate earrings. Although I love earrings, and envy every girl with chandeliers on, I have had no choice but to come to terms with my no-big-earring lifestyle. In high school and college I loved showing off my fashion side by wearing amazing, vibrant earrings that I had accumulated over the years. But, after getting a ripped earlobe, I had to change my bold fashion look to something equally glam and noticeable, but that wouldn’t rip anything on my body. This realization led me to the magnificent cuff bracelet.

Cuff bracelets are huge statement pieces that won’t let you go unnoticed! I love the idea of a cuff bracelet because they add warmth and spice to an outfit. So, for you ladies who are sick of flaunting chandeliers, or like me, can’t go there anymore-- join the cuff world with me. This year I have fallen for two opposite looking cuffs; the detailed stoned cuff, and the simple-yet-flashy cuff. Ahhh, if only my dating life was so stimulating.

Two of my cuff picks are designed by Kara Ross of New York. Her name is internationally known for unique accessories. Inspired by a trip to Africa, Kara began designing jewelry for herself, and thankfully shares it with all of us now. This first Kara Ross bracelet cuff is anything but simple. It’s an asymmetrical design that looks like it would perfectly wrap around the wrists. The gold plated Kara By Kara Ross Enamel Cuff with Gemstones looks ferociously sexy with the stones aligned perfectly along the top front.

My next pick is also designed by Kara but, on the simple spectrum of her designs. Just as visually appealing, this Kara by Kara Ross Bejeweled Croc Print Cuff is rimmed with a little stones. The cuff is simple and elegant with a tad of spice with its croc-embossed texture. It’s got a lot going for it; 18kt gold and undeniably classy.

Getting as simple as I can get with gold cuffs, I had instant chemistry with this Nordstrom Chain Cuff Bracelet. I can’t explain the attraction, but its there. Maybe it has to do with the 3 different chain links that parallel each other to create a unique, thick looking cuff. This cuff has no stones, just a lot of twist and turns for a diva who can handle it.
