Wearing religious or spiritual symbols around your neck or wrist is not a new concept, but a hipper one nowadays. Ever since Madonna started wearing her crosses, and now with her representing her Kabbalah faith by wearing a red string around her wrist, I have seen a major increase in them. You don't have to believe in any particular religious pathway to embrace the symbol trend, as I wish to call it. Perhaps you can wear a cute sparkly peace sign or gift a stylish religious piece of jewelry to a friend. During this giving season it makes sense to think about spiritual symbols, or perhaps symbols of peace, to show gratitude or loyalty and respect towards a pathway.

Starting with the most common religion in the world, Christianity, I'm going to feature the cross. This Bebe Charm Ribbon Bracelet is an innocent and girly look. It's a school girl bracelet with a little sass and spice. The multi-crossed charm bracelet is loud and trendy, yet it can be tamed with the proper outfit. It's a nice alternative to a simple watch when going out. This bracelet has a cluster of crosses and hearts dangling from a round rhinestone charm. It comes with thin bracelets with dotted rhinestone crystals. The group of thin bracelets can be worn individually or together. I could imagine it looking super hot in combination with a thick hammered bracelet.

If you are Jewish, the cross won't get the representation done. Check out the Judith Jack Star of David Necklace. I found this dainty necklace at Nordstrom.com. The fact that it isn't overbearing was the initial attraction. It's simple and elegant and would look nice if you wanted to add some longer chains with another Star of David for a night out. But, it's always nice to keep it clean and solo... who wants to look like a rapper anyway? Plus, when it comes to religion, flashy seems to be defeating the purpose.

If one religious pathway isn't your cup of tea, or something you would rather not represent, how about the Modern Artisans Spiritual Peace Necklace? Its multiple thin chains interconnect with a long drop pendent that features 7 spiritual symbols. If you are a believer of coexistence, this necklace is perfect for you. I like what this necklace stands for and I hope I see this around. The 7 spiritual and personal symbols include: Yin & Yang, Star & Crescent, Star of David, Cross, gender equality symbol, Aum, and a dangling peace sign to finish off the look. This is also a great idea for someone who has adopted more than one religious point of view.

Although I have showcased two religious pieces, there are over 40 religious/ spiritual pathways and it is impossible to showcase all of them. As previously mentioned, if you don't believe in any one religion, perhaps there is another symbol that inspires you and will bring positivity unto others.
