Do you remember that Sex and the City episode where Carrie was trying to get the money together to buy her apartment? There's a scene when Carrie realizes that every drop of her money for years has gone into her expansive shoe collection rather than her savings. She couldn't afford to buy her apartment. She was literally going to end up as the little old lady who lived in her shoes. I have a funny feeling that's going to be me someday. And shoes like this will have been to blame.

I can't resist a truly unique shoe, like these Wrap Heels from Kris van Assche. I was just aimlessly browsing around SSense when these ahh-mazing shoes pretty much jumped up and grabbed me. Well, more or less. They are so, so gorgeous. From the deliciously complex wraparound straps, to the artfully scuffed pointed toe, to the super tall tongue... they truly one-of-a-kind. Even the closure is standout-- it's a stud pin rather than a traditional buckle! Plus, these platform shoes feature a fabulous 5" heel, my favorite height. I must have these shoes. They're so completely splurge-worthy.
