$99.95 (was $124.95-- save 20%!)
Available at: endless.com

Looking for a fabulous shoe quick fix for under $100? Check out this super cute new find...

I don't normally associate animal prints and summer, but this pair of pumps has changed my mind. The Charles by Charles David Pompadour Pump in Naturalgreen takes a not-quite-natural reptile print and infuses colors like pale teal and camel, which add a lightness to the print. The end result is a shoe that is more playful and summer-like than your typical animal print pump.

Steal: Blank Denim Skinny Cargo Pants $84

Blank Denim Skinny Cargo Pants
Blank Denim Skinny Cargo Pants

$84.00
Available at: saks.com

Do you love the look of this season's must-have J Brand Houlihan Skinny Cargo Pants, but hate the idea of the $230 pricetag? I've found your solution.

The Blank Denim Skinny Cargo Pant has the same super slim fit of the Houlihan, as well as similar pocket styling and zip closure at the ankle (although Blank Denim places the zip on the inside, rather than the outside like J Brand). The big difference? The price. These Blank Denim cargo pants will set you back a mere $84-- significantly less than the J Brand alternative. If you are on the fence about the whole skinny cargo pant trend, this pair could be a painless way to try on the trend without committing to a designer pair.

Hello! Skinny Jeans: Oprah's Favorite Found

hello! Skinny Jeans BlackOut Couture Cut
Hello! Skinny Jeans Couture Cut

$175.00
Available at: boutiquetoyou.com

Hello! Skinny Jeans are the hottest new thing in shopping right now. Why? Because when Oprah speaks, everyone listens. And Oprah says Hello! Skinny Jeans are the real deal.

What is it about Oprah's picks that sets the shoppers on fire? I have a theory, which basically boils down to this: if a woman who can afford absolutely anything picks a product as a favorite, it must actually be good. I mean really, does Oprah Winfrey need to accept endorsement dollars? Or would she ever risk soiling her personal brand by suggesting a product that is anything less than fabulous? See, the magical "Oprah effect" does kind of make sense.

Oprah's most recent fashion endorsement is for Hello! Skinny Jeans-- a new-ish brand of jeans that actually claim to make you look skinny. No, they aren't all skinny-fit jeans (yes, I thought that for a while too). They are actually a narrow range of jean styles ("barely bootcut" and "couture cut") that are designed to make you look skinny. Seeing is believing... they've got side-by-side comparisons with well-know denim labels on their website. After seeing the pics, I'm ready to pick up a pair myself. The fact that these alleged miracle-producing jeans cost about $100 less than my normal favorites is just icing on the cake.

Ready to try out Oprah's new favorite jeans for yourself? Click on the photo to link directly to where you can purchase Hello! Skinny Jeans BlackOut Couture Cut Jeans online, or browse all of the Hello! Skinny Jeans available for sale online.

Work Moc Bootie

$750.00
Available at: shopbop.com

I know, I know, it's finally summer and the last thing you want to think about is fall clothes. But, I just ran across an early fall find that will tempt you to think beyond swimsuits and summer vacations.

These brand new Maison Martin Margiela Work Moc Booties are so much fun that I actually kind of want fall to hurry up and get here... which is saying a lot considering we've barely had any actual summer weather here in the SF bay area. These leather boots feature a dark, vintage-like finish and a loose-fitting cuff-- a stylistic element I'm convinced will be the hottest thing around come fall. I've seen at least three pair of early fall boots with a similar loose cuff styling. Finally, something fresh and new in the boot department.

Looking for a fabulous shoe quick fix for under $100? Check out this super cute new find...

An animal print is always a classic choice for an accessory, especially a shoe. This patent version of a jungle cat print is just as classic as a traditional animal print, but a little more inventive thanks to the use of an animal-like print that doesn't quite pop up in nature.

The Stuart Weitzman Beacon-Platform Pump is crafted from patent leather with a leather lining and brushed leather sole. It's currently available in sizes 6.5 to 10 and is on sale for a mere $61.50-- 78% off the normal retail price of $285.

The new wave of studded shoes filling the stores are fun and add a kick to the wardrobe, but are not always practical for more conservative situations, like, um, work. But this brand new Under $100 find features the studded trend in a more subtle way, making these pumps a little more pretty and a little less punk.

The DKNYC Odetta Studded Pump features a leather upper on a 4" stacked heel with tiny stud details along the toe and heel. I love the Ash color pictured here because of the luxe look created with the addition of the goldtone studs. But, if this color isn't quite right for your wardrobe, you can also pick up this shoe in Black or Cognac. All three pair are currently on sale for $91, marked 30% off the normal retail price of $130.

Fashion Cents: 3 Tips So You Don't Strike Out With Your Look at a Baseball Game

Wednesday, June 23, 2010 • Permalink •

--By Kimberly Turner

I LOVE baseball. People are usually surprised when I reveal this to them because my attention span is short and baseball is not the fastest moving game. Now what was my point? Oh, yeah, but I love it because of the strategy behind the game, the food and the fans. I honestly get so excited about sitting in the cheap seats and eating hot dogs with mustard sans the actual hot dog. But if I am not dressed right for the game, I can end up going home from the game a loser even if my team wins. So here are three pitches that you can surely hit and will at least get you to first base:

1. Be willing to lose -- that means whatever you are wearing. You might not survive the mustard stains.

2. Wear the right shoes -- your favorite pair of crisp white sneakers are probably not the best idea.

3. Show some team spirit -- unless you are one of those fair weather fans who might change teams during the game.
Now watch the video to see the details. Plus, there is a bonus tip in it for you too which might get you the home run.

Batter up!

How To: Create a Boutique-Like Accessories Display

Tuesday, June 22, 2010 • Permalink •

--By Kim Moshtaghi

I admire the way small, trendy boutiques display their accessories. It’s such a perfect and a creative way to display average to uber hot jewelry. I've always dreamed of having a set up like that in my own bedroom, and now the dream has become a reality.

Displaying jewelry not only makes you feel like you're shopping among your own stuff, but it also makes everything look a hundred times more exciting. The small stores make everything a little more worth while and valuable by placing necklaces around statues or around candles to give more of a unique look. It’s very similar to the way high end jewelry stores rely on exceptional lighting when selling diamonds, because essentially the diamonds sell themselves. Setting is everything and making your own collection look celebrity-like and dazzling is a fun, creative process.

Kim's Room - Boutique-Like Accessories Display

In order to make it happen I took some funky candle holders and random household items and turned them into a background for my surprisingly diverse accessory collection. I wanted to make my stuff look A+, while making my bedroom into a shopping haven for its number one shopper, ME. The best part about it all was that all the items were repurposed from around my house-- a couple of the boxes were collecting dust in the garage. If your household items don’t spark anything, you can check out Z Gallerie for fun household items that can help you get started creating a trendy haven in the bedroom. And, if all else fails, you can re-use the items to spiff up the house.

The Arbre Sconce is a nice way to display earrings and bracelets. Hang necklaces around the tree branches loosely and expand on this awesome decorative tree. The double tree sconce sprouts into full extended branches that can be bent to make hanging earrings a simple task. If your accessories don’t satisfy your inner bulb try lighting it with tea lights.

If you need some spirit in the bedroom, use the Gold Buddha Votive Holder as a sense of tranquility and place to keep your bold statement rings. The antiqued gold finish of the two pieces will add a lot of charm to your night stand.

If Buddha doesn’t get you excited, check out the Mariposa Collection small box that will get you enticed to show off your favorite piece of jewelry whether it be a bangle or a watch that continues to stay close to home.

For my cuffs, I used a yellow pillar-like candle holder that allows me to wrap all the cuffs around it. If you want to duplicate this look, try the Mariposa Pillar holder in glossy black. It will accentuate your wrist bling with some serious sass.

The best part about creating your in home store is that all the stuff on display is already pre-paid. You may have not won the lotto, but you changed the way you look at your own stuff. Voila-- one miracle down!

Just when you thought that "jeggings" were going to be a passing fad, this unlikely trend makes yet another high-profile appearance. Kristen Stewart, joined by her Eclipse cast mates, recently attended the Twilight Convention in Los Angeles wearing denim leggings. To compliment her laid back sense of style, Kristen added a slouchy tee, leather jacket and booties for a look that was both edgy and casual.

The jean leggings, or jeggings, in question? The new Black Orchid Black Jewel Jeggings in Newton Wash. These denim leggings are quickly becoming one of the most sought-after jeggings styles on the market. This exact brand and style has also been spotted on Jessica Alba, Dakota Fanning, Christina Ricci, Reese Witherspoon, Charlize Theron, Nikki Reed, Anna Kendrick, Fergie, Gwen Stefani, AnnaLynne McCord, Whitney Port, Ellen Pompeo, and Hilary Duff... just to name a handful.

Review: Living Proof Full Thickening Cream

Monday, June 21, 2010 • Permalink •

--By Jen W.

Living Proof Full Thickening Cream
Living Proof Full Thickening Cream

$14.00 - $24.00
Available at: sephora.com

I am very resistant to trying new hair products of any type. My hair is so thin, that most products (regardless of the type or manufacturer) tend to make my hair limp, greasy, and in need of an immediate wash. These effects only get worse if it is a rainy day, and trust me, it is ugly!

When I was asked to try Living Proof Full Thickening Cream, I have to admit that I was a bit hesitant and completely expecting the usual “ugly” side-effects. Living Proof is a company of scientists from leading universities who, as they so elegantly put it, are “working together with beauty experts towards one common goal: to invent breakthrough formulas that provide beautiful results you can see from across the room.” I was intrigued, so I said, “What the hay? It’s only one day of bad hair – I’ll just make it a Sunday when I’m cleaning house.”

The results? I was completely wowed! The first day I tried it, the weather was on and off rainy, but I could immediately see and feel a difference in my hair as I was blow-drying. My hair had amazing volume and felt and looked thicker. I have never looked so good cleaning the house. I decided to try a second day, which meant going out in public (yes, work). The weather was sunny and warmer. Again, the effect on my hair was incredible! This product definitely can withstand the change in weather. The only downside to this product is that the second day after I stopped using it, my hair was very limp and oily. Thus, I would certainly recommend this product for regular use, but don’t run out!

Disclosure: A free sample of this product was received as part of Sephora's customer sampling program; neither the author nor this blog have any material connection to Living Proof.

Sale: J Crew Silk-Linen Sweater $24.99

J Crew Silk Linen Sweater
J Crew Silk-Linen Sweater

$24.99 (was $59.50-- save 58%!)
Available at: jcrew.com

Finding summer sweaters can be tricky. You want a luxe feel, but cashmere can be too warm in even tissue-thin weaves. Three-quarter length sleeves are optimal, but hard to find. You want an open neckline, but nothing too revealing. Really, it's almost impossible to snag something perfect. But, this Silk-Linen Sweater from J Crew is spot on for summer, available in tons of gorgeous colors and deeply discounted. Love that.

Occasional Stiletto Jungle contributor E.K. turned me on to this sweater earlier this week when she triumphantly paraded her latest J Crew sale finds through my office. I had to agree with her, this sweater is awesome. The colors are gorgeous-- there are 12 color options altogether and they are even more rich and delicious in person than they are in pictures. The silk-linen blend is luxe, but super lightweight and slightly transparent. The v-neck is just deep enough to be alluring. Really, I'm in love with this sweater... and the super low price. Thanks for the tip, E.K.!

Review: De Fabulous AÇAÍ Oil Treatment

De Fabulous The AÇAÍ Oil Treatment
De Fabulous AÇAÍ Oil Treatment

Available at Salons
See defabulous.com for locations

I am so digging the DF AÇAÍ Oil Treatment! I have tried it a few times on both damp and dry hair and I love the way it makes my hair super soft and shiny. I was using the Biosilk Silk Therapy and Moroccan Oil, but neither leave my hair as lightweight as this oil treatment from De Fabulous. It is a super light texture and has a very light clean scent.

I have been using it on damp hair on just the ends to give them a little extra conditioning, and when blow drying to help tame flyaways. De Fabulous also advertises that on damp hair, it helps dry the hair faster... which may be true but I have yet to check that out. Awesome product, I have a feeling this bottle is going to go fast. Also, great for traveling in the small bottle!

Old Navy Womens Lightweight Moto Jackets
Old Navy Moto Jacket

$34.50
Available at: oldnavy.com

I have this strange aversion to casual jackets. I have plenty of structured jackets of the type that can go to work or out to lunch, but nothing for, say, a summer evening at the beach or a night time barbecue. I just don't have much interest in spending money on something that I'll wear so rarely and I'll end up getting dirty anyway. So, I keep trying to find a casual summer jacket that doesn't cost a lot, but is still stylish. I think I might I found just the thing.

This brand new Lightweight Moto Jacket from Old Navy comes in a very trendy moto jacket shape, in your choice of stone (shown) or carbon colored cotton/tencel fabric. The cut is fun, the fabric is light (perfect for summer evenings here in the SF bay area), and the price is perfect for those of us who would prefer to spend our cash on things that will get more wear. I might just buy it right now...

New & Hot: Camilla Skovgaard Ankle Z Wedge Booties

Camilla Skovgaard Ankle Z Booties

$558.00
Available at: shopbop.com

I'm a new fan of Camilla Skovgaard shoes. The look is so unique, which really is unique for a shoe company these days. It's nearly impossible to mistake a pair of Camilla Skovgaard shoes for any other label. Well, at least not yet. I'm sure the knock-offs will start showing up at cheapie mall stores any day now.

Camilla Skovgaard shoes specialize in super stand-out details-- lug soles, crazy cut-outs, sculptural heels-- but with an air of dignity about them. These aren't whacked-out shoes best suited for red carpets or overpriced clubs. No, Camilla Skovgaard shoes are perfectly at home in broad daylight. Some styles could even make an appearance at the office. Really, these are special shoes.

My latest fave Camilla Skovgaard find are these brand new Ankle Z Wedge Booties. I'm usually not a fan of suede, but the dove grey suede of these boots is super inviting. These shoes are both simple and, at the same time, dramatic. I love the idea of wearing them with a floaty flora dress for summer, then with super skinny pants for fall.

Review: Dove Daily Moisture Treatment Conditioner

Tuesday, June 15, 2010 • Permalink •

--By Tina & Kim V.

Dove Daily Moisture Daily Treatment Conditioner
Dove Daily Moisture
Treatment Conditioner

$3.99 (was $5.99-- save 33%!)
Available at: walgreens.com

I was given the task of trying and reviewing Dove Daily Moisture Treatment Conditioner. I thought this will be a nice change from what I normally use. So I received my sample and honestly even all wrapped up I could smell it, a sweet smell. I thought that could be a good sign, my hair will smell nice all day long.

So, the next morning in the shower I opened up the conditioner (after reading the directions - gotta be serious about this product testing) and that smell was almost overwhelming, what smelled nice yesterday started to smell too strong. Ok, I know it washes out so it should be fine. I used the conditioner according to the directions and then, because I was running late for work, did not dry my hair, but let it air dry. My hair looked horrible. I felt like the conditioner was still in my hair after completely rinsing it out. My hair looked greasy and clumped together, kind of what it would look like when you put too much product in your hair. Ok, so that was not impressive.

So the next day I tried it again, and this time I dried my hair. My hair normally is thin and when dried is fairly straight, with this product it still looked like there was conditioner or something in my hair. The look was not great. So one more day of trying the conditioner and honestly I was worried because I had meetings that day... I used it and then rinsed my hair for what seemed like forever to make sure it was out... and again when my hair was dry it did not look good.

I cannot recommend this product for everyday use, unless you want to look greasy and like you didn't shower. I am disappointed in this product. I was hopeful that I had found a good inexpensive conditioner to use daily. But, when you aren't happy with how your hair looks in the end, then it just doesn't work. It might be my hair type - so if you have thinner hair that doesn't look good weighted down with product, this isn't the thing for you.
--Tina

I had our family use the Dove Daily Moisture Daily Treatment Conditioner. I have fine hair and found the conditioner to be too soft for my hair, making my hair flat and hard to style. My husband, who has thicker and drier hair, liked the smell and the results of the conditioner. My boys would prefer the conditioner to be packaged with a pump rather then the tube for easy use.

Under $100: Nine West Escher Peep-Toe Pump

Nine West - Escher (Black Leather) - Footwear
Nine West Escher Pump

$78.95
Available at: zappos.com

Looking for a fabulous shoe quick fix for under $100? Check out this super cute new find...

A classic peep-toe pump is always a welcome addition to a shoe wardrobe, particularly during the summer months. As soon as it gets a little warm outside, the allure of an open-toe shoe is hard to resist, but a full-on strappy sandal can vibe a little too casual for work. A nice, classic peep-toe is a good middle ground that will let you show off your pedicure while maintaining a slightly more professional look. Don't have a pair of classic peep-toes in your shoe wardrobe? Then check out today's Under $100 find.

The Nine West Escher Peep-Toe Pump is every bit the classic peep-toe shape. It's available in 11 color / texture combinations, including the slightly weathered black leather shown here. For more adventurous fashionistas, this shoe also comes in patent mock-croc, sunny yellow lizard embossed leather and even a bright pinky-red. Every pair is only $78.95, which feels sufficiently guilt-free.

Review: The Marilyn Brush Futuro Round Brush

--By Jules Newmark

The Marilyn Brush Futuro Round Brush
The Marilyn Brush Futuro

$30.00 - $42.00
Available at: marilynbrush.com

Ahh, smooth bouncy hair walking down 5th Avenue, turning heads at the shine and sleek mane that is mine...Wake up Jules, you're not in a Pantene commercial, you have just used The Marilyn Brush to blow dry your hair at home and gotten the best salon results yet!

With a design created for an ease in holding the brush, The Marilyn Brush Futuro Brush is the newest and best round brush on the market - well I think anyways. The reason I love this one so much is for the light weight feel of the brush as well as the shape, lending your hair to stay on course for quicker drying time. I've tried quite a few of these round brushes - large or small sized, plastic or wood, fine bristles or thick, but I have yet to have one that gives me the salon blow-out look.

We all know Marilyn Monroe was famous for her curves and so is her namesake brush! The hourglass shape is ergonomic and helps to prevent carpel tunnel syndrome. Not sure if you're up on your reality tv shows, but the Marilyn Brush was a featured item on the Bravo TV show, Shear Genius! It's a celeb must have I'm sure. Price depending on the brush size ranges from $30 to $42. So ladies, if you're wondering how to get out of that straightened flat look, give the Marilyn a twirl and pump up the volume! Check out TheMarilynBrush.com for more info on where to buy as well as their collection of brushes.

Review: Dove Intensive Repair Daily Treatment Conditioner

Thursday, June 10, 2010 • Permalink •

--By Kim Moshtaghi & Po C.

Dove Intensive Repair Daily Treatment Conditioner
Dove Intensive Repair
Daily Treatment Conditioner

$3.99 (was $5.99-- save 33%!)
Available at: walgreens.com

The Dove Intensive Repair Daily Treatment Conditioner was awesome. I used it for a week and will still continue to use it as it really moisturizes my hair without weighing it down. I have gone through two sessions of highlights in the past two months, so it this product has come in really handy and has done a great job. I like the way it really softened up my hair without making it impossible to style.

This specific Dove conditioner prevents split ends and breakage from happening because it nourishes the hair "from root to tip" leaving hair resilient to future damage, as long as you are consistent with maintaining your healthy hair habits. I definitely helped my hair through its difficult recovery process by decreasing the times I blow dry my hair and using a great conditioner such as Dove’s Intensive Repair Daily Conditioner. I was amazed by the conditioner's ability to help my damaged hair recover slowly but surely at around $5! I mean lunch wouldn’t satisfy my cravings more. I would definitely recommend this product to everyone to try because of its truthful claim and its low price point.
--Kim

The Dove Intensive Repair Daily Treatment Conditioner does the job, and at its price, is a great value. It has the regular Dove soap smell and does a good job detangling as well. I imagine that the best part of this conditioner is the exceptional value, so I would purchase it if I were on vacation and needed a temporary replacement conditioner, but not as my regular conditioner. A big factor in my conditioner choice is scent, and while this does an acceptable job, it is not anything special. I would recommend this to college students or men who want a non-feminine conditioner.
--Po

FOUND: Whitney Port's Black and White Look

Whitney Port wearing Rebecca Minkoff
Like a sturdy trench or a good pair of riding boots, graphic black and white ensembles will never go out of style. Each season there's a new take on classic black and white, which inspires us all to take a deeper look into our closet to find fashions worthy of recycling. Looking for a little inspiration yourself? Check out this recent celeb fashion snapshot.

The City starlet Whitney Port was recently snapped wearing full-on black and white while taking a stroll in the West Village of New York City. She's sporting head to toe Rebecca Minkoff apparel and embracing the bold, graphic combo of black and white stripes. Whitney is wearing the Rebecca Minkoff Alicia Top in black and white ($195 at ShopBop.com) and the Rebecca Minkoff Clueless Leather Skirt ($650 at RebeccaMinkoff.com). Whitney is wearing the mini a little higher on the waist and a tucked in shirt for a more fashion-forward take on the look. While it's true that not everyone could get away with wearing this pairing exactly like Whitney, both pieces are exceptional on their own and could form the basis for a whole new black and white outfit.

Click on either linked text to link directly to where you can purchase that Rebecca Minkoff item, as seen on The City's Whitney Port, online.

Review: Snappi Dry Shampoo

Tuesday, June 08, 2010 • Permalink •

--By Kim Moshtaghi & Jules Newmark

Snappi Dry Shampoo
Snappi Dry Shampoo

$14.00
Available at: amazon.com

Snappi Dry Shampoo was a very helpful product. It keeps the top of the hair from looking like a mirror and it really did work! All you have to do is spray it on and tease the top a little bit and you're on the right track with a nice hair do. The only thing is if you really need to wash your hair and its been more than a couple days I wouldn't rely on any kind of dry shampoo to replace a good old shampoo and conditioning job.

Overall, I was really impressed by Snappi Dry Shampoo and do think it can be used in between shampoos to make hair more manageable and fresh smelling. I think it's a perfect item to take on a weekend trip so you don't have to spend a lot of time washing and drying your hair. I found it also helped style my hair if I used a bit more, acting similar to a mild hair spray. I definitely will buy more of this product for myself and recommend it to all because it priced well and it will always come in handy.
-- Kim

Wow, talk about clean in a snap! I just used the Snappi Dry Shampoo for the first time and I can truly say, this is a fantastic in-between wash treatment. I don't know about you, but I try not to wash my hair everyday-- it just looks better after a day or two sometimes. A dry shampoo is the perfect answer to the problem of in-between wash greasy hair or hair that just looks flat and boring. Rather than take away your hair’s natural moisture with yet another wash and a variety of heat styling tools, one quick spray with the Snappi can and your hair looks salon ready.

With Snappi, just shake the can and spray evenly and your hair is ready to go whether you've just left the gym, you're at the office or in the airport on the go. Snappi can be purchased on their website or you can look for it at a salon somewhere near you, check out SnappiShampoo.com for more details.

Looking for a fabulous shoe quick fix for under $100? Check out this super cute new find...

I hate to bring this up on a Monday, but... let's talk work shoes. If you work in an office or other professional setting, you have likely experienced the work shoes conundrum. Yes, you need professional work shoes, mainly in versions of black. Yes, you want them to reflect your personal style and superior fashion sense. Steal: ASOS 2 in 1 Drapey Skirt Dress

ASOS 2 in 1 Drapey Skirt Dress
ASOS 2 in 1 Drapey Skirt Dress

$76.09
Available at: asos.com

Trendy UK-based site ASOS.com has always been a great place to find a versatile, affordable selection of fashions (with surprisingly low $6 flat-rate US shipping). Really, it's kind of a fabulous place to just browse. But, this recent find struck me as being even more versatile and affordable than average, so I thought I'd pass along the good news.

The ASOS 2 in 1 Drapey Skirt Dress is one of those 1-piece dresses that looks like a 2-piece ensemble, which are suddenly all the rage. It's a great evening look, but could also easily go to lunch with the addition of a belt and some funky accessories, or to a wedding with more delicate accessories (I'd try metallic gold sandals with super thin straps). And the price, even after converting from pounds, is super easy to swallow. It's kind of a no-brainer for all of your summer events.

Review: Pantene Shampoo & Conditioner

Monday, June 07, 2010 • Permalink •

--By Kim Moshtaghi

Pantene Shampoos and Conditioners
Conde Nast provided me with a travel size sample of the Pantene Smooth Lisses Shampoo and Conditioner to test drive and the results were good. The smell was my favorite and did leave my hair soft and made me so yummy people walking by would take a whiff. But, the conditioner did tend to weigh my hair down a tiny bit. It was harder to properly give myself a blow out when using the conditioner because it almost softened my hair too much. On the bright side, I love the fact that it comes in travel sizes and it’s something I would take with me to all my travels, especially with a boyfriend.

I have tried many shampoos and conditioners but none of them have ever smelled lovelier than Pantene. I repeat none of them. They are both great together but great to use as an alternate shampoo or conditioner as they say that does help when it comes to hair. I love the way the shampoo really cleans the hair without leaving any residue and making my hair appear greasy after one day without wash. This stuff smells so good it’s all I can think about, can you tell?

If the smell isn’t incentive enough to give it a try, Conde Nast is having a promotion until June 30th that allows you to get a free one year subscription when purchasing $30 worth of the “Must Have it” products which include: Pantene, Olay, Gillette Venus, Cover Girl, and Secret. It’s pretty easy to drop 30 bucks on things that are very necessary in our everyday lives and why not kick back and read a magazine after pampering ourselves? The promotion sounds great to me and with less than one easy page to fill out you're good to go on a year filled with fashionable, super savvy advice just for getting the products that satisfy your everyday needs!

Ed. Note: You can get your own free sample of the new Pantene via the Pantene home page for a limited time.

Looking for a fabulous shoe quick fix for under a $100? Check out this super cute new find...

Lately I've found myself favoring neutral colored shoes, which are ideal for pairing with more colorful summer fashions since they won't overwhelm the ensemble. These Charles by Charles David Primm Pumps are a great fleshy-colored neutral-- great for making legs look miles long-- with a lot of visual interest. I like the combination of reptile-embossed leather with the stitched leather details. The layers of barely contrasting leather stand out when you are up close, but blend into a seamless neutral from a distance so as to not compete with the rest of your outfit.

7 For All Mankind Josefina Shorts

Sometimes I feel compelled to remind all of you that I just report the shopping news, I don't create it. I personally find these shorts a tad mumsy, but they are, in fact, the current best selling shorts at the 7 For All Mankind online store. Go figure.

The 7 For All Mankind Josefina Short in Vintage Adara Blue is built to fit slightly loose around the hip and thigh. Sounds good so far. And the color is kind of a classic Seven look, right down to the old school squiggle back pocket. I'm not sure if knee-length denim shorts are my thing, but they are apparently out-selling all of the other Seven shorts right now. I welcome second opinions. If you can explain to me the appeal of these shorts, I'd love to hear all about it. Otherwise, like I said, I'm just here to report the latest shopping news. These shorts are currently available in whole sizes 24 to 31. Size 32 is currently sold out.

New & Hot: Juicy Couture Burnout Fleece Jacket

Juicy Couture Burnout Fleece Hooded Jacket
Juicy Couture Burnout Fleece Jacket

$158.00
Available at: shopbop.com

I keep running into items of clothing that appear to be structured, but are actually made out of sweatshirt material. It must be a subtle new trend. Really, I'm kind of addicted. I picked up an equestrian style fitted jacket made out of stretch jersey by Daryl K and I wear it all the time. You can't beat a pulled-together look that feels like your are wearing pajamas. I'm getting that same vibe from this brand new Juicy Couture find.

The Juicy Couture Burnout Fleece Hooded Jacket is constructed from cotton/poly blend marled fleece, but has a more refined look thanks to details you'd normally find on a structured jacket. For example, the self-belt and curvy silhouette. I love how this jacket is styled here, with preppy twill pants and a simple tee. I could also see this paired with a pencil skirt in a more relaxed fabric and heeled sandals. I'd totally wear this to a more creative work environment for a look that's just a bit more dressed up than khakis and a tee shirt, but just as comfortable.
