Have you ever spent an hour in front of the mirror styling your hair just to have it fall into a flat, poufy mess the moment you left the house? Frizzy, unmanageable hair is the number one beauty complaint women have in the summer. You no longer have to hide your hair when the temperature heats up because I am unlocking my favorite frizz fighting methods.

Damage dries and weakens the hair, making it more vulnerable to frizz in humid climates. To fix this, you will need to trim split ends, and deep condition. I love Organic Root Stimulator Hair Mayonnaise. It smells nice, and it detangles your hair while adding body, reducing shedding, and softening the texture. On average, you should leave it on damp hair for 10-15 minutes, but it also works as an overnight hair mask for severe damage. A little goes a long way with this conditioner, and it is great on chemically treated, coarse, or thick hair.

Messy braids, waves, and slicked back ponytails are big trends this season. Don't be afraid to accessorize with these simplified looks. Headbands, scarves, and barrettes are also great at disguising frizz. Try Forever21's hair accessories section.

If you want to wear the sexy beach wave trend, generously apply Garnier Fructis Style Curl Calm Down Anti-Frizz Cream to damp, clean hair. Then, braid your hair and have it dry overnight. Remember, the smaller the braids, the tighter the waves will be. Once your hair dries, finish the style with Garnier Fructis Style Anti-Humidity Hairspray Flexible Control ($4.49 at walgreens.com). If your hair is naturally curly, you will not need to braid it, these products will help tame and shape your natural curl pattern. The waves also look great in half up, half down styles, messy buns, and ponytails.

The single side swept braid is my favorite frizz-fighting look. Simply comb your hair to one side of your head and begin braiding behind your ear. I like to braid my hair halfway down, secure it with elastic, and add waves to the bottom with a crimping iron. This style is also great with bangs and loose face framing curls. For an added pop of color, braid a few pieces of ribbon or yarn into the hair.

A slicked back bun is a super easy way to look chic. Try a deep zig-zag part to for an edgy twist. Smooth flat-ironed hair back with a strong holding formula, Living Proof Satin Hair Serum perfectly tames frizz. Use a boar bristle brush, gather the hair at the nape of your neck, and secure with a hair-tie. You can braid or twist hair into a bun, or use Hair Stylers Mesh Chignon ($3.69 at sallybeauty.com) for a donut bun.
