Have you shopped Apiece Apart? If you are a fan of well-made, simple clothing, you are definitely missing out by not hitting up this line.
The Apiece Apart label is known for sublimely crafted basics of the vaguely Scandinavian, ultra-minimalist variety. Picture the kinds of things you’d catch Tilda Swinton wearing. You know, when she’s not wearing head-to-toe Chanel.
Despite the northern European look, the line is all-American. It is produced in NYC and was inspired by a trip to Texas the designers – Laura Cramer and Starr Hout – took together to celebrate their 30th birthdays.
I’m a big fan of Apiece Apart’s clean lines and basic, but not quite classic, shapes that can be dressed up or down, and remixed many different ways. I’ve waded through their new arrivals section and picked out some of my favorite new fall items to share with you.
If I were to pick one piece to buy this season, I’d get the Mina Wrap Dress in Black Crepe. This chic dress combines a wrap top with a straight skirt and front slit. Not quite basic, but not going out of style anytime soon either. This dress can go to work with ease, and be dressed up with statement jewelry for a Tilda-esque nighttime look.

This sand washed silk linen dot-print top would look fabulous with wide-leg jeans, but it could just as easily work with your favorite suit.

Add a pencil skirt to this tunic top and you have a vintage-look outfit that’s perfect for the office. Paired with cropped trousers, it is a great dressy weekend look.

There’s nothing like a blanket top for keeping warm on chilly fall days. This cropped version adds a level of style that leaves other blanket coats in the dust.
