Simple Red for Summer into Fall

Red is the color of seduction and the color that men supposedly can’t help but migrate towards…and it is not just the color of winter anymore! In its simplest, yet fashionable, form I found some basic finds that will entice you to wear red before the trend really hits.

I’ve always been a fan of maxi dresses. I wear them year round, even though you’re not supposed to. But, living in San Diego, fashion takes its own course. Try to wear them while you can, before the weather becomes too cold for some you. Especially this adorable red one!

Maxi dresses are so effortless. You can throw one on without having to give too much attention to the rest of your look. They must have some sort of super power, because any way you wear them will look like a million bucks. Keep this dress on hand when you have limited time but need to look glam. Keep everything else simple and you are still looking GOLDEN.

Felicity and Coco Cutout Jersey Maxi Dress

→ Buy the Felicity and Coco Cutout Jersey Maxi Dress (Regular & Petite), $78.00, at nordstrom.com; shipping and returns are free.

This next pick is a simple short dress that can be worn a tad off shoulder or just as a simple v-neck dress. Pair this dress with some peep toe shoes or a wild pair of strappy stilettos – voila!

Topshop Bardot Jersey Dress

→ Buy the Topshop Bardot Jersey Dress, $24.00 (was $80.00), at us.topshop.com.

There are endless red stilettos that are worthy of featuring. But, since I usually don’t associate Zara with awesome shoes, I had to feature this one.

This strappy, lace up red shoe is pretty. They don’t look over the top, which can be the fault of many red stilettos. They’re simple and will pair perfectly with jeans. There is nothing more fun and light hearted than having a casual look and having the element of surprise on your feet!

Zara High Heel Ankle Boot Sandal

→ Buy the Zara High Heel Ankle Boot Sandal, $79.90, at zara.com.

Since fall brings the slightly cooler weather, a larger bag becomes handier. Chloe executes this bag beautifully. The shape and the deep hue are exquisite.

Although it isn’t the best evening bag, it can be used day to day because it’s spacious. It also contrasts well with most jewel-toned colors. Plus you can spice it up and tie the color into your outfit by wrapping a scarf around the handle.

Chloe Paraty Medium Satchel Bag

→ Buy the Chloe Paraty Medium Satchel Bag, $1,950.00, at neimanmarcus.com.
