Loving This Week: Cropped Wool Trousers + Eyeshadow Finger Paints
Monday, March 27, 2017 • Permalink •
How much are we collectively loving this new ultra-laid-back makeup trend led by Milk Makeup and Glossier? It’s all about breathable formulas, natural finishes, and easy application. Pretty much everything is designed to be applied with your fingertips. I get that for blush, skin tint, highlighter, etc. But, eyeshadow? I’m at once scared and intrigued. I have got to try Milk Makeup’s new eyeshadow finger paint quad.
In other shopping news, a fabulous menswear-inspired derby shoe on sale. Love it. Check out all of my favorite shopping picks for the week…
1. Vince Highwaisted Crop Wide Trouser, $345.00
It’s very easy for cropped black pants to come off as kind of mumsy. These trousers avoid that fate with a higher waist and and luxe wool suiting fabric construction.
2. Uniqlo U Collarless Blouson, $39.90 (was $49.90)
Is it a blouse? A jacket? I’m not 100% sure, but I do know that it looks super cool and designer-y. It’s part of the new Uniqlo U line designed by a team led by knitwear impresario Christophe Lemaire, which has been stellar. This washed poplin gem is available in four colors at this sale price.
3. Rag & Bone Kenton Derby, $269.90 (was $450.00)
Nothing adds instant style to an outfit, with very little pain, like a classic menswear shoe. I can’t stop buying loafers and brogues. This pointy-toe derby is available in black or Bordeaux leather, or a funky grey velvet. All three variations are marked down right now.
4. Milk Makeup Shadow Quad, $36.00
As soon as I read that this new eyeshadow quad is made to be applied with your fingers I was hooked. It’s like grownup finger paints! Plus, love the palette names: Day Goals (pictured here) and Night Goals.
5. Current/Elliott The Fling Boyfriend Jeans, $159.46 (was $238.00)
I’m not one to pass up a good pair of jeans on sale. I’m particularly smitten with the ultra-faded black wash of this pair.
