Katie Holmes has come so far, so fast... in so many ways. Not the least of which is her personal style. I was as big of a Dawson's Creek fan as anyone back in the day, but now I hardly ever think Joey Potter when I see Katie. She went from wholesome, if slightly frumpy, girl next door to trendsetting global fashionista overnight. Even when Katie Holmes is going super casual, kid on hip, she looks incredibly well put together and fashionable. Love it.

Big name fashionistas tend to come in a couple basic varieties. There are those who just tend to get fashion right as a matter of course, like Scarlett Johansson, Katie Holmes and Cameron Diaz.
