Body Bronze M.D. Bronze Self -Tanner & Instant Bronzer
Body Bronze M.D. Bronze Lotion

$49.95
Available at: bodybronzeproducts.com

Body Bronze

It's summer. The sun is shining and we're all sporting our favorite skirts, shorts and bikinis. And we all want glowing bronze skin. Even those of us who swore off sun years ago in hopes of preserving our youth and preventing skin cancer... we still wish our skin was a deep shade of sun tan brown. What's a health-conscious fashionista to do?

We all know the options. Smelly lotions and sprays, scary booths, body bronzers that rub off on our pretty summer clothes. Sure, all are better than frying our skin with harmful sun rays, but they are hardly aesthetically pleasing. It's time for a new option.

Meet the next generation of sunless tanning: Body Bronze. Body Bronze products were developed by a dermatologist and a skin cancer patient in order to to provide physicians with the most unique self-tanning product on the market. Body Bronze products have been exclusively available to physician's offices and medi-spas since 2002, but with the launch of the new Body Bronze website, these hot products are now available to the masses! Body Bronze products have won praise from publications like 944 and Ironman magazines and doctor's offices throughout the country, and Body Bronze products were even selected as the official sunless tanning product of the Grammy Gift Baskets. Pretty impressive, right?

So, what makes Body Bronze so special? Body Bronze is designed to create the most natural looking tan for all skin types, instantly. The unique formula is non-greasy, streak-free and quick drying. Plus-- and this is pretty big-- there's absolutely no funky odor. Body Bronze has even been successfully used by vitiligo patients to color skin that has been robbed of natural pigment.

Ready to give Body Bronze a try? For a limited time you can try this amazing product for less. Our friends at Body Bronze have offered all Stiletto Jungle readers a generous 20% off Coupon Code. To redeem, simply copy-paste or type the Coupon Code below at checkout. Hurry, offer ends August 31, 2008.

How-To: Get Sexy Legs for Spring

-- By Kim Moshtaghi

LORAC TANtalizer Body Bronzing Luminizer
Lorac Tantalizer Body Bronzer

$30.00
Available at: beauty.comicon

There is no magic trick when it comes to sexy spring legs... not without a little work! In order to get defined legs you must start doing squats and lunges. 3 times a week is enough to show some definition in your thighs. I recommend doing about 200 each time, or start at 100 and work your way up. I also started walking to places that are close to my house in order to enjoy the beautiful day and get a little exercise in on the weekends. If I'm going to the grocery store to pick up batteries, I walk instead of drive. All these minor, non-time consuming changes have really changed my legs and my body for the better. The great thing about walking is that it helps mental clarity as well.

Besides exercise, there are other ways to increase your leg sex appeal. Bronzers and self-tanners do an amazing job of creating leg definition. There is a process to applying bronzer to ensure streak free legs, which is very important. The worst mistake many make when applying self-tanning products is being in a rush. The point is to make your skin look healthy and glowing, not orange and fake. The best way to get glowing, sexy legs is to scrub your legs in the shower after shaving and then apply a mix of your daily body lotion with L'Oreal Sublime Bronze Self-Tanning Lotion.

First, make sure your legs are dry when applying the self-tanner. Another thing to watch out for is choosing the right L'Oreal Sublime Bronze color. I suggest using Light if you don't have a base tan, because Medium-Deep will streak. Once the self-tanner dries, I recommend applying Lorac Tantalizer Body Bronzer to your legs over the L'Oreal self-tanner. Once again, make sure the L'Oreal self-tanner has settled into your skin and dried thoroughly. The Lorac Tantalizer Bronzer is an absolutely genius invention. It's like powder for your legs with a stunning glow. It covers every blemish on your legs, from childhood scars to fresh bruises. I have never been so impressed by a bronzer. It almost looks like you have spray painted Gisele's legs on.

I have received so many compliments from both men and women when using these self-tanners together that I would feel selfish not sharing the secret. I don't suggest using self-tanners anywhere besides your legs and maybe arms, even though they are intended for the body. If you are thinking about applying self-tanner all over, I would try it on a small area first and see how your skin reacts. Many self-tanners have a tendency to cause acne, but when applied to legs they don't do any harm.

With a little sweat and some help from L'Oreal and Lorac you will have increased leg sex appeal, and a healthier lifestyle-- now that's worth it! Girl Talk: Faux Glow or No Glow?

I have recently discovered that I have a small obsession with achieving perfectly glowing skin. My makeup bag and skin care shelf are both filled to the brim with every type of self tanner, bronzer, and highlighting potion known to man. I just can't quit my quest to get the just right glow. The question is: am I alone in my quest? And, if I'm not, is there some ingenious product out there that I don't know about yet?

NARS Monoi Body Glow II

Available at: Beauty.com

I put the question to the Stiletto Jungle Girl Talk panel. How do you faux glow? The answers I got were mighty surprising. From no glow to a list of glow-inducing products that rivals my own in length. So, ladies, lay it on me.

"Umm, ok, so I'm brown already... don't think I have any need for a faux glow. I got the real thing, baby!" offers Pearl, a 29-year-old music industry diva with naturally cafe-colored skin. "I don't really use any highlighters or shimmer lotions [either], so I think I'm going to have to sit this one out."

Seriously, Pearl? Not even a touch of shimmer? I understand the lack of need of tanning products, but every girl could use a little glimmer here and there. I suggest Benefit Kitten for you. The golden, as opposed to silvery, glow is perfect for darker skinned women and Kitten comes with a huge puff that makes it easy to apply to any part of your body. If you are looking for a stunning glow sans shimmer (it is possible!), give Nars Monoi Body Glow II oil (top left) a try. It's simply fabulous and smells like a tropical paradise. Any other no-glow girls out there?

"You know me, I spend tons of time at the beach in the water and, even with SPF 50, I tend to have a tan all year round," admits Tina, a 34-year-old attorney from sunny San Diego, California. "I am careful to use SPF all the time, but all that time in the sun means I just can't help it. I have used bronzers before in the winter month to add little color."

Puh-lease ladies, I can't be the only faux glow girl out there. What about you, Po? I know I've seen your skin in the glowing way before. It's stunning. What's your secret?

LORAC Bronzer For the Face, Warm Glow

Available at: Beauty.com

"I love MAC's Iridescent Powder in Belightful. I recommend it to everyone I know," says Po, a 28-year-old attorney with sun-kissed southeast Asian skin. "A friend tipped me on this after she had her makeup done by a wedding makeup artist. Belightful is this beautiful, shimmery pressed powder that, when applied on temples, gives a slightly glittery but natural-looking, luminous glow. I don't believe it's meant to be put all over the face-- just above cheekbones and other places that highlight your profile. After I first used it and saw the effect on photos, I realized that this must have been the beauty secret of celebrities! Now I use it practically every time I go out. It just gives that extra ooomph to complete a glamorous look."

Ooh, Po, thanks for the tip. I've never used Belightful, but I'm definitely going to give it a try now. I always wondered how some people just manage to radiate in photos.

The Body Shop Shimmer Lotion
$8.00 (was $16-- save 50%!)
Available at: TheBodyShop.com

"Lorac Bronzer (right) is amazing," says Kim, a 23-year-old native of La Jolla, California, who has a naturally light-olive skin tone. "Although it comes in compact form, it does wonders wherever you put it, [but] there is a limit. I put it on my cheeks instead of blush and it automatically makes me looked sunkissed. I also recommend using L'oreal Sublime Bronze Tinted Self-Tanning Lotion-- streak free-- on your legs. I would not use it anywhere else if you have sensitive skin, such as mine. I use it when I'm going out and wearing a mini-skirt, or you can put it on everyday for a gradual tan. If I already have a glowy face after laying out, I love to skip powder. Instead, I put a little MAC Silver Dusk Powder on my face and chest. I put it on with a huge brush so it doesn't get caked on. If I want some shimmer on the rest of my body I usually use my Body Shop Shimmer Lotion (left)."

Seems that I'm not the only one who has a bit of a fascination with glowing skin. I totally agree with the Lorac and L'oreal recommendations-- I've used both with fabulous results! And, with two big endorsements, it seems that MAC's shimmery powders are definitely worth a try. I might just go grab me some this weekend. Glow on!
