I finally ran into my ex last weekend and thank god I was prepared and looking good. After months of anxiety leading up to this moment, I’m glad I worked on myself mentally and physically, because it made the encounter more enjoyable. After he told me how beautiful I looked repeatedly, I felt the closure I was silently yearning for. With that said, my outfit choice for the evening couldn’t have been better. I feel lighter on my feet already!

My outfit was conservative and classy, with a lot of sexiness to it. I wore a leopard pencil skirt that was sophisticated and alluring because the print and the form fitted nature of the skirt showed off my body beautifully. I love the way it accentuated every curve and the pattern really helped off set the simplicity of the rest of the outfit. I found a similar T Tahari Leopard Print Pencil Skirt at Macy’s and it is great. It has lining and a side zipper with a straight style that you can tailor to adjust to your specific shapely needs.

I wore the sexy leopard skirt with a plain black thin tank top, which is wonderful to have around because you can wear it underneath anything and it is absolutely comfortable. These Calson Absolute tank tops come in multiple colors; I own about 6 different colors. They always come in handy last minute underneath cardigans and blazers, and they are great for layering-- an absolute wardrobe essential!

To spunk up and intensify the outfit I wore an amazing cardigan with ruffles streaming down the middle. The ruffles were outlined with a gold color and created a bold polished look. I couldn’t find anything like the cardigan I was wearing, but I found a stunning Alfani Long-Sleeve Belted Cardigan that could get the job done better than my cardigan, and then some. I love how this cardigan is belted and helps define the waistline. It’s also very versatile, and can be easily worn with everything. The silver hardware gives it an edgy look.

They say the shoes make the outfit, and boy was I prepared. My sexy simple knock-out Christian Louboutins got the job done! These black patent leather sling-back pumps completed the outfit with a major bang. Maybe it’s the shoes that got his head spinning--who knows? These shoes always give me the confidence and stature of a goddess.

Crossing paths with an ex could have been a lot worse, but with the right mental training and attitude... the outfit and my mindset created a magical evening. But, I’m very glad I got that over with. One challenge down, thousand more to go!
