Summer Fashion: The Multi Strand Necklace

Multi strand necklaces can be seen everywhere. Jessica Simpson and Sarah Jessica Parker both have down the sophistication of wearing a multi layered necklace solo, and with additional necklaces to accompany it. The beauty of multi strand necklaces is that they’re perfected in design to give you the look of someone who threw a few pieces together, and happened to strike gold. Similar to Sarah Jessica Parker, you can slip on a dainty shorter necklace with the multi-layered necklace in order to put a personal spin on it.

To keep things in the summer perspective, I found the R.J. Graziano Multi Strand Bead Necklace-- a gorgeous coral multi-stranded, and multi-sized beaded necklace. The beads create a bold color that will go well with any other bright color. Don’t be afraid to mix and match this piece with yellows, greens and blues. And, if you want to keep things simple, wear it with a strapless dress to cause your friends to swoon at the next happy hour.

For the less colorful ladies, I have found a very timeless Sterling Silver Multilayered Bead Necklace. It is a three layered necklace that you can wear to a wedding, work or a party. It’s very simple, and not in your face. This is definitely one of the necklaces where you can add a dainty, shorter or longer single necklace to personalize it. I guess you wouldn’t even have to go dainty with this necklace; you could pair it with a bolder piece to balance out the simplicity, especially if you feel an urge to go wild.

I found a hot, trendy Long Multi-Strand Floral Necklace at Target. This has too many little strands to count! But, the strands are all brought together by two big adorable flowers. One flower is a greenish-blue, and the other one is black. The various chains the necklace is made up of are all different, giving the necklace a lot of character. But, definitely be careful when storing this necklace. You want to make sure you don’t get all of those pretty chains tangled up. On a positive note, the necklace is nickel-free, which is great for ladies with sensitive skin.

All three multi-layered necklaces have the ability to transform any ordinary outfit to a rockin’ one. It’s funny how one piece of jewelry can make such a difference! Make sure to tone down the earrings when wearing these necklaces, otherwise you’ll look like a member of a tribe who’s required to have things hanging from all parts of the body-- no bueno!
