Recently I had the chance to visit the Grammy Style Studio to get a sneak peak at the hottest designers catering to the stars this year. I spotted two designers that were so worthy of a mention that they deserved their own spotlight. Yesterday I covered Edun; up next: Hush Puppies.

A brand that you might not think of as synonymous with the Grammy Awards is Hush Puppies. I almost did a double take when walking by their table... and was curious enough to stop in and say hello. Their table was full of cozy looking shoes, including these wonderfully tall suede boots that I could barely take my eyes off of while I was speaking to the Hush Puppies representative. This year marks Hush Puppies' 50th anniversary, and they are celebrating in a big way. Not only are they teaming up with my favorite charity ever, Best Friends Animal Society, but they have also paired up with contemporary designers to breathe a little new life into the traditional loafer company's line. I have to say, it worked!

I was mesmerized by the Hush Puppies Lavish Boot, available in Black Leather, Classic Taupe Suede, and Lager Brown Leather (shown). I couldn't believe this boot was made by Hush Puppies and I had to try it on. I wish I was one of those girls who can parade around in 6" spike heel boots and tower over everyone smugly. Instead I am a girl who would rather opt for comfort and fashion all in one. These boots did it for me, I was sold. I was lucky enough to take home a pair to test out, and I don't know how I did without them. They are so versatile; scuff, stain and water resistant (yes, you read right!); and seem to conform to my feet. These boots are priced in the UGG boot range and, in my opinion, are way more stylish. Not to mention, I got attacked in the elevator by these two women who loved my boots and told me how they are looking everywhere for the lager brown color, thinking they are already sold out. Not to worry ladies, there are plenty more where these came from!
