Like most modern women, I feel the need to cart my entire life around with me where ever I go. The result is an impressive collection of tote bags, most of which have been acquired as conference swag or free GWPs. They are useful, but stand in stark contrast to my carefully chosen ensembles and pricey purses. Perhaps it's time for an upgrade.
I just ran across this Marc by Marc Jacobs Standard Supply tote in the new arrivals section at Nordstrom and I fell instantly in love. It's the perfect way to upgrade my tote bag collection. Now, before you scoff at paying designer jeans prices for a twill tote, take a second look at the details. The strong stitching; the obtuse angles created by the sides of the bag; the carefully rolled handles. Ok, and the Marc Jacobs logo does add a bit of cache to an otherwise utilitarian tote. But, that's not a bad thing.
