The styles of stars of TV shows are often the subject of gossip mags and blogs. Whether the clothes are chosen by the stars (which of course they aren’t) is never discussed, but these characters are the nation’s “trend setters.” The stylists for shows are the behind-the-scenes style mavens who make these hot looks more appealing to the average viewer. But where does the credit go?

The newest show Mad Men is not so much a trendsetting show for the season, but a vintage reminder of the styles of the past. Maybe they will make a comeback? This 1960s based tv show really grasps the audience with the authentic wardrobe and makes the show stand out compared to the typical trendy things put together – and honestly, we could use to change it up every once and a while. The looks for men on Mad Men include Stetson hats, which retail for $350, and thick rimmed black frame glasses from Alain Mikli that remind me of my father’s glasses he wore in school.

Pink leather driving gloves from Aldo would take any day outfit to night with a twist and still be a 2008 version for the ladies. Tall Mary Janes really compliment the average girl, but just about anything the girls wear on Mad Men will be inspirations to the viewers – so get watching and pick out some vintage spots to get their looks for your new fall wardrobe!
