Growing up, I was allergic to everything. It was horrible being the only kid who couldn’t roll around in the grass. Just when I thought those days were over, I realized I’m allergic to silk. Out of all fabrics to be allergic to, why does it have to be sexy, dreamy silk? As sad as it is, I still think silk is an amazingly beautiful fabric on a woman, and seems to drape perfectly over the body. I may be unfortunate, but I don’t want to take the charmingly glamorous silk options away from all of you during the holiday season. With plenty of holiday parties to attend, it is a perfect time to show off your fashion sense. With silk in your closet, you’ll definitely be the stunning one at every holiday bash. Silk steals the spotlight every time, and not to mention it is a very comfortable fabric to be dressed in.

I found this absolutely adorable Indochine Dress by Nanette Lepore on eDressMe.com [top left]. I love the embellished empire waist with the flirty flared skirt. This dress will look great with some thick black stockings or leggings, and some chunky closed toed heels. As well as being a fun, refreshingly girly dress, the colors make it very suitable for the holiday season. With this season’s make-up trends this dress will match perfect. The smoky eyes and the nude lips would complete this outfit, making it a knockout!

For those of you who don’t like the feeling of silk all over you, my next recommendation is a cute off the shoulder top. This Silk Dolman Blouse from Arden B. is vibrant enough to make the sun shine on a cloudy day. The bright orange and turquoise colors on the shirt are what make this pick pop. This is a perfect top to pair with some cute jeans and boots. I love the cinched waist on the bottom, which completes the flirty look.

My last recommendation is the hottest holiday dress ever. Not only do I love the fact that this Kensie Silk Dress [right] is red, I love that it pulls together two different fabrics and textures. The silk and chiffon go beautifully together and help harmonize the dress, making it irresistible. The dress comes with removable straps, so it can be worn with or without them. I love the length of the dress, making it appropriate it for most occasions. The chiffon belt ties and the tiered ruffles make this dress an elegant choice, worthy to be worn to several holiday parties over the years.

Now you have three jaw dropping silk items, so go out there and flaunt it in front of people like me, and rub it in, because there is nothing sexier than a women wearing silk with some sass and confidence. I’ll even consider buying you a drink.
