I know they aren’t the most attractive fashion item on the planet, but Ugg-style boots get the job done, keeping your toes warm and preventing the everlasting sniffles. So, if you’re going to wear Uggs or Eskimo-style boots, make them fun and fashionable. Why be dull, when you can be expressive? Typically, I’m not an Uggs girl, plus I live in San Diego, where the climate is usually mild. But, the weather has been freezing the past week, and I have been wearing my Eskimo boots and getting compliments on their funky style. I say, if you going to wear an unflattering boot make sure they’re comfy and rocking, especially if you are going to wear them out! I love boots with some rhinestones or trendy patterns on them. When it comes to these furry boots, let’s get a little crazy!

I found a great pair from Steve Madden. I love the brown color and the awesome pattern on the back of the “Powered” boot. Steve Madden have 6 different styles in this particular boot. The brown are my favorite, but they have gray with a peace sign on the back, and different fun ones in versatile colors. I also love that they are called, ‘powered’ boots. They are comfortable, warm and who knows, maybe they’ll give you some magic power. At least you don’t have to change your shoes when you’re going for a quick bite with a friend; these have rock star status written all over them!

These next Eskimo boots are intense, but I really like them. These Ed Hardy “Snowblazer” boots are out there, in a fun hip way. The Snowblazer is a casual knee high boot that will cover more, keeping you warmer with a faux fur lining and cushioned insole. The metal faceted studs give the boots an edgy, punky look and the accents cover a suede trim, making them sassy hot. The fact that they have a cuffed split collar top is unique and cool. If you don’t like tattoo details, or skulls, these boots may not be for you. But, if you have want to embrace your bad-girl tendencies, which we all have, these boots could help you put edginess in your step while being in complete comfort.

My third recommendation is much more subtle and refined. I would say these are perfect for the less daring women-- they are simple, elegant and warm! Bottom line, these Bear Paw Women’s Eskimo Boots are stunning for being a typically styleless boot. They have exposed shearling, which gives the boots some sass and class. I also think they are very reasonably priced-- for $54.99, how could you go wrong?

Like I said, Uggs and Ugg-like boots are not my favorite fashion for the winter. But, when it’s freezing, or you’re walking through the snow, they definitely make your life easier. And getting compliments when you’re wearing a boot with no particular shape, you’ll feel a little bit more uplifted in the cold, mood-altering weather.
