Taking care of my overly processed hair is very crucial. Although I have exchanged my highlights for dark hair, I still have the difficulties of dealing with dry limp hair. To avoid all this, I use Neutrogena Triple Moisture Deep Recovery Hair Mask and it's a miracle worker! But be warned, the miracle will be prevented if the product is used more than once a week because it will dry out the hair and deter it from its main purpose. You put the hair mask on after you shampoo-- it works best when left in for about 5 minutes-- then rinse as you usually would. It instantly softens the hair, making it easier to comb through without breaking the hair. I have also noticed a significant difference in the shininess of my hair after using it. My hair seems healthier, softer and much easier to manage-- definitely worth the approximately $6. The container will last a long time-- you get a lot for your buck!

My third beauty staple is Clean & Clear Persa-Gel 10 spot treatment. I hate waking up in the morning and discovering that awful big pimple is calling my name to squeeze it, but I've gotten smarter than that. Persa-Gel is great for those days. You put a small amount on the pimple, rub it in, and repeat it before going to bed. And pretty please, make sure your hands are clean; putting the ointment on with dirty hands is a ditzy move. The reason this stuff works so well is because it contains 10% Benzoyl Peroxide, which does the trick. It usually won’t take more than two days till the pimple disappears.
