It’s time for sandals once again. In San Diego it’s always flip flop time, but this is the season to emphasize perfectly pedicured toes with some glitzy and glamorous flat sandals, not just worn out beachy ones. Although it's nice to have your “beat up” pair of flip flops, it's even nicer to keep your feet ready to take a walk without hesitation in some fancy flat sandals that can take you from A to B without a major foot ache. So, stop whining and a get a pair of sandals you can wear day and night without any fuss.

Steve Madden always has something to love and this summer it’s definitely the Steve Madden “Aviva” gladiator shoes in the Cognac color. But, if Cognac's not your drink nor your color check out the other 3 colors its offered in. I think they're extremely glamorous and super fun. I love the simple style without an overload of detail. The sandals speak for themselves! With two ankle straps, this classic look will go with anything especially if you are trying to keep it casual but can’t live without exuding a lil’ sass.

$39.99 (was $89-- save 55%!)

Very different from the first pair, the Nine West “Medalion” sandals are an explosion of life with all sorts of colors and colorful embellishments on top of the t-strap. The t-strap and back zip make this shoe an easy, comfortable wear without the hassle and straps to worry about. The affordable price of $39.99 makes this bright pair an even more enticing. With 6 colors to choose from, how you can go wrong with a perfect summer sandal? I recommend wearing this with longer dresses to balance out a more one dimensional outfit.

For in between look, I’m sweet on the Chinese Laundry “Cool It” sandals. They are just that, cool. I wouldn’t call them simple or a burst of color, they're classics turned into a semi-edgy sandal. The sandals are featured in red, black and white. The “Cool It” is decorated with gold and silver bangles which wrap around the straps to give it more personality, otherwise they would be too plain Jane. I love the simplicity-- this is a pair you can wear to the beach without trashing them because of the durable material, and the fact that it is easy to slide on makes it more appealing than others.
