It's that time of the year again. Time to gather with friends and colleagues to celebrate the season. But, is it me, or is every holiday party lately a bore? You show up at someone’s house in an ugly sweater with a bottle of wine and begin the act of holiday cheer while staring at the clock and trying to decide when is a good time to make your escape.

Well not this year...

This year while Santa is busy making his list and checking it twice, of all the Naughty and Nice girls and boys, we will be helping him out. This year, our annual holiday party puts a new twist on holiday tradition. It is designed for the fun and fashionable who believe the holiday season is both for having fun and for giving to others. Here's how you can throw your own Naughty or Nice party:

1. Guests are sent an invitation to the Naughty and Nice Party that asks them to come dressed in either Naughty or Nice cocktail attire, and to bring a toy to donate to a local children’s hospital.

2. When guests arrive at the party, they are greeted at the door with a choice -- Naughty or Nice? -- and asked to sign their names to either the Naughty list or the Nice list. Guests then enter the party area, where the room is divided in half – you guessed it, half Naughty and half Nice.

3. On the Naughty side, guests find a buffet table labeled "Naughty" that is filled with decadent desserts and candies of all types, and of course, an array of holiday cocktails to choose from, including Jack & Ginger Ale, Cranberry Jack, and peppermint martinis. This side of the room is decorated with lots of mistletoe, martini glasses filled with sparkly ball ornaments, a retro Christmas tree, and a photo opportunity with Santa that requires you to sit on his lap.

4. On the Nice side of the room, good boys and girls find a buffet table labeled "Nice" that offers hors d'oeuvres and plenty of non-alcoholic beverage options, including cider served in martini glasses with a cinnamon stick. Guests can rock around a traditional Christmas tree where they deliver the gifts they brought to donate. A stocking with each guest’s name is hanging on the wall, and before the party is over, a favor box is placed in each guest’s stocking that contains either a "Naughty" or "Nice" gift based upon which list the guest wrote his or her name on.

By the end of the night, stylishly dressed guests have indulged in "Naughty" holiday cheer while doing a "Nice" deed by giving back to their community. That's a holiday tradition sure to get you on Santa’s Nice list this year!

Jack Daniel's Tennessee Whiskey is charcoal-mellowed for a smooth, yet distinctive flavor that mixes well with ginger ale for an unexpected taste during the holidays. Learn how to spice up your holiday season with family and friends by visiting spikethecookies.com.
