Recently I was looking for new sheets on bedbathandbeyond.com and stumbled upon a product called Sheex- a new luxury performance bedsheet inspired by professional-quality athletic fabrics to help you sleep better. You had me at SLEEP! I dug in a little more and learned that the material breathes 50% better than cotton, and is wrinkle, fade and shrink resistant. Don’t you just hate it when you wake up in the middle of the night and you feel all sweaty and gross? Sheex keep you cooler at night with moisture wicking properties to keep you dry and by transferring body heat 2 times better than traditional bedding. Anything that helps me sleep better at night deserves some serious attention.
I received the grey queen sheet set from the lovely people at Sheex to review, and I can tell you that 6 weeks later, I am LOVING them. The color is beautiful, matches so many duvet/comforter colors and the material is similar to that lightweight jersey sport material, completely different than any sheet set I have owned. The sheets are SO SOFT and luxurious, and they fit my mattress really well (very stretchable and I have a feather bed topping). They dry super fast due to the moisture wicking properties and really don’t wrinkle at all. My only complaint is that since the sheets are SO soft, the seams do feel rough in comparison but this is still the best sheet set I’ve ever owned.
The price is a little steep for bedding at $199 for a queen set, and $219 for a king set at Bed Bath and Beyond (I’d wait for a coupon or sign up for email alerts to get 20% off!), but I can tell you from experience that they are SO worth it for a better night’s sleep. I am now spoiled and when I travel for work to different hotels, the sheets are never as soft or comfortable. I am thinking about purchasing another pair for guests who probably won’t ever leave after sleeping on these sheets. Also a great wedding or engagement party gift!
