Red, green and orange alert! Yes, red and green are colors from a stoplight, but they are colors that go beautifully together and with many others. These eye opening colors keep any fashion look exciting and well worth a spontaneous purchase. This doesn’t necessarily mean go splurge on a bright orange dress or buy green shoes. As I always say, it all depends on your personality. Personally, I would flaunt a bright orange bag but some may be more comfortable with an orange scarf with print. Whatever your preference, incorporating these powerful and alert colors will get you some positive attention.

Bebe might be a little risqué for the mature crowd, but I found a very simple classic dress that will touch everyone’s red soft spot. This '70s-inspired dress is flirty and feminine with layered chiffon and a faux wrap design. I especially like this dress because it will do well in many different functions. Its not tight or a bare-all dress. The dress has a couple cute, tiny details such as a tie around waist, and rectangle cut in the back. Wear this dress proudly with some sandals and with pumps in the fall, and you’ve got a dress that can cover two seasons!

After red comes green, and this color just started impressing me a couple years ago. I was never a green person until I realized there are so many gorgeous shades of it. Although it can be difficult to find a green that most will like, I opted for a soft green shaded silk scarf. The Echo ‘Riding straps’ square silk scarf is beautiful. You could wear this around your neck, your hair and your purse. Anything this soft scarf is wrapped around will look magical and sophisticated. Go green!

If a scarf is not your thing and reminds you of grandma, then maybe bold green eyeliner from Sephora will brighten your mood along with your eye. The green shade from Sephora’s jumbo liner collection lasts 12 hours because it is water and humidity resistant. I love this particular liner because you can blend it with your eye shadow and create a striking look or wear it solo with accentuated black lashes. Either way, your eyes will mesmerize.

Since I always preach yellow, this time I would like to preach my other alert color: orange. Orange is so fabulous I painted one of my accent walls at home orange. It represents wealth and success. It can be a little bit too overwhelming, so my product choice is elegant yet bold. I love the classic Tory Burch logo clutch called the Amanda Vitti Logo Clutch. The blood orange clutch is a simple leather clutch with the designer’s logo and a combination of chain and leather as a strap. Spacious enough for the bare essentials, this clutch is definitely a power statement.
