Zara Sweater - Nars Lip Gloss - Halston Heritage Dress - 10 Crosby Derek Lam Clutch - Jack Black Lip Balm

This past weekend I took my monthly stroll through Zara to see what’s a must-buy, and what looks just as cheap as its price tag. One gorgeous chunky knit sweater stood out. While I was out and about, I also stopped in the Sephora down the street to pick up a couple old favorites.

All three viewed-in-person items found their way into this week’s shopping round up, along with a fantastic sale find. Check out what’s in my online shopping cart this week…

1. Zara High Neck Sweater, $79.90
In person, this sweater is absolutely gorgeous. The cotton/ acrylic blend knit is woven incredibly densely, creating a thick knit that is sure to be as warm as it is good looking. It’s a bit cropped, which is perfect for layering. It’s available in both grey and pink, but I don’t remember seeing the pink in store. The grey, however, caught my attention clear across the room.

2. Nars Lip Gloss in Striptease, $26.00
Every once in a while I get to thinking about a beauty product I used and loved years ago. It’s always one of those situations where I didn’t have a reason to stop using it, I just moved on. This Nars Lip Gloss is one of those products. I fell in love with this gloss when it was used in a Gucci runway show years ago, and wore it for a good long time after that. I got to missing it over the weekend and picked up a new tube. It’s a perfect glossy golden nude shade, ideal for pairing with more dramatic eye looks or polishing off a daytime “no makeup” vibe.

3. Halston Heritage Elbow Sleeve Gown, $225.75 (was $645.00)
I love dresses that feature a demure cut paired with a single stand-out feature. In the case of this Halston Heritage dress, the conservative boat neckline is offset with beautiful scoop back adorned with ruffle details. The pretty poppy color is conservative event appropriate and seasonless. I think it would be a great dress for a more formal holiday party or winter wedding, and then maybe a spring wedding come next year.

4. 10 Crosby Derek Lam Kenmare Zipply Clutch, $395.00
This oversized clutch is unique both in its colorblock kelly green color scheme and in its funky front zip pouch. I think it would look amazing with fall and winter minimalist staples. Picture it with cropped black trousers and a chunky dark grey knit turtleneck, for example. Such a standout accessory.

5. Jack Black It’s the Balm Trio, $19.50 ($21.00 value)
Yes, this lip balm is from a men’s grooming line. It was complete fluke that I even tried it. But, I’m so glad I did. This is, hands down, the best cold weather lip balm I’ve found. It lasts, has SPF protection, and comes a bunch of really inventive “unisex” scents, like Asian Pear & White Tea. And leave it to a men’s line to create a balm with a truly satin finish – not too greasy looking, not a drying matte finish.
