Luxe Ethical Retailer Everlane Adds Pants To Their Lineup

Wednesday, March 11, 2015

Last month I wrote about my newfound love for Everlane, a San Francisco-based purveyor of luxe minimalist basics that is committed to “radical transparency” in manufacturing and pricing. This month, I’m excited to share that Everlane has finally added pants to their offering and they are well worth the wait.

Everlane Pants

Just this week Everlane revealed their two brand new pants style. True to form, they represent two classic silhouettes that belong in every woman’s wardrobe, and each is available in two neutral shades: black and navy. They really are the perfect pants. I predict I will soon have both in my closet. Check them out…

First, the Slim Trouser is a tailored style constructed from a two-way stretch wool-blend fabric, with a stylish ankle slit. Everlane began the design process in 2012, but didn’t settle on an appropriate factory until two years later. They ended up at a specialized pants factory in Dongguan, China.

The Slouchy Trouser features a relaxed cut with two front pleats and slightly tapered leg – think reverse-cut, or slouchy-skinny – crafted from mid-weight wool twill. This pant is produced side-by-side with the Slim Trouser in the Dongguan, China pants factory.

Both pants styles fit perfectly in a minimalist wardrobe, and can be dressed up or down as the occasion merits. I’m picturing the Slim Trouser paired with a slouchy tee and some of this season’s updated skater sneakers for spring. Both would look great teamed up with a silky blouse, like the Sleeveless Snap Front Top I featured earlier this week, in a business casual workplace. The possibilities are endless.
