CHI Turbo Big Ceramic Hairstyling Iron 2 inch
CHI Turbo Big 2" Hairstyling Iron

With the economy dwindling I can’t think of a better topic than letting the world in on some of my favorite drugstore beauty items. There is definitely a misconception that drugstore products can’t get the job done, but that couldn’t be further from the truth. Not only are you saving lots of money by avoiding the department store for similar products, but you will find that some of the items are actually very impressive. The best part is a couple of my favorite drugstore beauty products happen to be on sale-- now that’s the cherry on top! These items are hot and in demand, but you won’t break a sweat putting in your credit card information while ordering.

Since I have curly hair, I love using the Chi Turbo Big Ceramic Hairstyling Iron. It works wonders on my hair, especially when it’s frizzy. It smoothes all the puffiness and leaves my hair shiny-- thanks to good hair products as well. There is an excellent deal on now, giving you 60% off the Chi Turbo Iron when ordering from Drugstore.com! Both one inch and two inch [left] are on sale, so it’s your choice. I prefer the bigger one, but most salons use the one inch.

L'Oreal Voluminous Original Volume Building Mascara, Blackest Black

My second beauty pick is something all women should have in their purse at all times: oil absorbing sheets. Oil absorbing sheets are unbelievably helpful in the summer. I don’t even have oily skin and I still use these every time I go out with makeup on. When wearing makeup in the heat it’s normal to get shiny and these cure the problem. All you do is take one of the sheets, softly dab the t-zone, and the grease is instantly removed. Voila! There you have it, a healthy glow, not a sweaty one.

No matter what, I never leave my house without mascara. I can go out without lipstick and other stuff, but never without mascara. Mascara always fakes the funk when it comes to making me look wide awake, and I can’t afford to skip out on that! I love L’Oreal Voluminous Mascara in blackest black. It separates my lashes, doesn’t go on clumpy, and manages to lengthen and thicken my lashes making them look fake. L’Oreal Voluminous Mascara gives my eyes that glamorous look that every eye is jealous of-- this stuff works wonders. The price is great, and if you don’t like it, you can always return it.

CoverGirl Cheekers Blush, Brick Rose 180

I have searched years and years for a good blush that doesn’t make me look like a clown, and finally I found it. I prefer subtle blush on everyone. Otherwise, it’s overkill and the whole point of blush is to have it look natural. I mean, Betsey Johnson’s great but, my gosh her blush needs to be toned down. For those of you who are with me on the Betsey Johnson thing, you will like the Cover Girl Cheekers Blush in brick rose 180. It’s very natural looking and will definitely define your cheekbones if you have a light to medium skin color. If you have a darker complexion, Cover Girl has many different pigment-rich colors to choose from. Plus, what I like most about the Cheekers line by Cover Girl is that it doesn’t make me breakout like some other blushes do. Try it out!

Trust me, once you have tried these products you’ll thank me. You’ll be saving money and looking good, leaving you with a little extra money to splurge elsewhere.
