Name a band that you listened to back in the late nineties? I don’t have to go on and on with the hint game, maybe you didn’t listen to them religiously as your absolute fav, but the Backstreet Boys were everywhere and their songs created a boy band Mecca! Now what are those boys doing? Acting, showing up on reality tv shows dancing? Well no, some of them are just trying to change the world and help good causes, one pendant at a time.

Backstreet Boy Howie Dorough met with Rock Your Religion’s co-founder and creative director at one of his concerts and their ideas collided. Dorough, a long time supporter or lupus, worked with the co-founder, Barbara Serbes, to create the "Howie Pendant" by Rock Your Religion to benefit the Dorough Lupus Foundation and symbolize courage, strength, hope and love. The double-sided pendant has a chi rho symbol on the front, which represents the Greek phrase "en touto nika"-- "in this sign you will conquer"-- and Dorough’s signature on the back. The pendant can be purchased at RockYourReligion.com and costs $35, of which all goes to the powerful foundation’s cause. Dorough’s sister lost her life to the devastating disease and here’s to hoping that he can take his celebrity name backing to helping research and end this sad disease, so start buying!
