Smoother skin, longer lasting foundation, and effortlessly matte skin. A pretty lofty promise for any skincare regimen, but all wrapped up in one product? Sounds almost too good to be true. But, that's exactly what the newest product from Givenchy aims to accomplish.

Givenchy Mister Mat Mattifying Foundation Primer is a skin primer that can be used alone or under makeup. Mister Mat contains ingredients that are designed to both soften and hydrate skin, and work to control sebum production. But, does it really work? Two Stiletto Jungle contributors took Mister Mat for a test drive to see if it would live up to the hype.

"I never knew the benefits of using foundation primer until I got the opportunity to review this product. This primer has a fabulous non-greasy texture that makes if very easy to apply all over my face. As I am spreading it around, it seems to naturally blend into my skin, giving it a fresh, non-oily feeling. It is definitely 'mattifying.' It's non-sticky and oddly it made it very comfortable to use liquid foundation. Throughout the day, I noticed that the usual shine I get decreased. Thanks to my great experience with this product, I don't think I would use liquid foundation without primer again."
