I've been having a really hard time finding comfortable, warm casual clothes to wear to work. I'm more fortunate than most because I'm able to work in an environment that doesn't require me to dress up. As nice as that can be, it's hard to avoid looking like I rolled out of bed with the comfort level I try to achieve when getting dressed in the morning. I never realized how many blazers and fancy clothes I have, without having an even amount of sensible day clothes.

My job consists of sitting in front of a computer screen all day, and trust me it's not exciting in tight jeans, stilettos and a blazer. The bottom line is I need more work-worthy clothes without feeling sluggish. I searched and, as usual, I found what I wanted. It was easy finding sweaters and loungewear, but I was looking for specific items that could be worn in a various ways.

Sweater jackets have always been such a great buy, in my opinion, because they're easy to take off and they look cute with or without a shirt underneath. They are as versatile as it gets, and it’s nice to layer so I don’t feel suffocated at work. It is important for me to be warm, but not like I’m going snowboarding because it makes me tired and less productive at work. Also, I want to wear clothes that can easily be transformed to work out in and going out for a bite to eat. I attained my goal by finding three pieces that are functional and inexpensive.

My first pick is inexpensive and versatile! The Venus Chocolate Zip Shawl Collar Sweater is cute and it’s on sale for $19! As if it couldn’t get any better, if you purchase anything before December 6, 2009, you get an additional 20% off your purchase. I spent a $100 and got some stuff that will transform my wardrobe! It’s a simple sweater for a small price tag-- no matter what kind of style defines you, this sweater will come in handy many times.

Following in the sweater jacket footsteps, Steve Madden came through with a typical funky design. The Steve Madden Faux Fur Bomber Jacket is super fur sass-- that’s what I would call it! It’s sophisticated but very edgy, does that make sense? Anyway, the cropped style of the jacket makes for a more casual look, great paired with jeans or stretchy pants. At work I would wear this with a longer, looser top to poke out from underneath, but you could also wear a small seamless tucked in tank and wear the jacket solo to show it off more. I love the way the fur trims around the front of the jacket, it sort of slithers down. The thick fur collar adds a lot of luxury to a typically trendy bomber jacket.

Lastly, I finally got me some comfy pants that aren’t yoga pants! The ShapeFX Push Up Boot Cut Legging lifts and shapes the rear, now, that’s what I’m talking about it! The only way yoga pants do this is if you’re on the step master working the booty. The boot cut style gives the illusion of smaller hips because it balances them out, and therefore gives an overall slimming look. The cotton spandex combination insures maximum comfort.

Whether you have a dress code at work, or not, these are clothes that will make your life easier. Who doesn’t want to look fabulous while wearing clothes that make you feel like you never left bed?
