The weather is heating up and it is time for a classic trench coat to accompany your sunglasses. Let the inner Jackie O out, accentuate your waist, and take advantage of one last winter item before the spring weather sets in. Think bright, think classic, and think simplistic sophistication.

My first feature is an incredible, double-breasted, yellow trench that if worn right will accentuate your waist and show everyone that you didn’t just eat during the holiday season. I adore the buttons because their color flows with the yellow, and the zippered front pockets exude a modern twist on the otherwise typical boring trench. Moreover, the pockets keep your small, important belongings safe.

Next up, I found another alternative to the traditional trench coat, and it fits well with my previous post about black and white color scheme clothes. This trench is a shorter version of the typical trench, which gives it versatility over others.

Derek Lam gets it done in this lovely orange color. I give this trench two thumbs up because everything about it is perfect: the style, the color, and the unbelievably stylish pockets! You can wear this classic trench during the in between months. Furthermore, this trench is durable so you can wear it for years.

If you have always had a petite frame, then I highly recommend the Rebecca Taylor ruffle jacket because it creates curves where you need them. I wouldn’t recommend this on a curvier gal because of the ruffles and its distinct style. However, I recommend this for smaller ladies so grab this trench and let the jacket speak for itself.

Another option for the more fragile women is this Anthropologie trench. This cool stunner has a double collar that really spices up an otherwise plain and simple color scheme. Keep this in your closet for the rainy day that requires you to look sleek and polished with a little flair.

If you love pink, then consider this next piece for Valentines Day. Check out this pink trench from Banana Republic, its absolutely gorgeous. This simple, straightforward style will never do you wrong unless you don’t appreciate the color pink. Wear this over any old dress or black slacks and you will look like the fashionista of the office.
