I've always thought that getting regular facials would be one of the best luxuries. Not only is it a thoroughly refreshing experience, your face glows for weeks afterwards. But, with a million priorities competing for our hard earned dollars, it's hard to justify throwing down up to a couple hundred dollars per facial on a regular basis.

Now, what if you could get the glow of a facial right in your shower? That's exactly what Johnson & Johnson's Clean & Clear skincare line is proposing with their new In-Shower Facial. This new product is designed as a deep cleansing treatment to purify, smooth, and soften skin right in the shower. The idea is that you apply the product to your skin while the steam from the shower allows the cleansing ingredients to deep cleanse pores. Sounds smart. But does it work? I turned three members of the Stiletto Jungle Girl Talk panel loose with tubes of Clean & Clear In-Shower Facial and asked them to report back.

"The solution to your extra spending for your facial needs every month has arrived," says 23-year-old Jules, a San Diego-based modeling agent. "No longer will you have to dig deep, spend over $100 and leave a spa looking red and puffy. No longer will you face the little red spots all over from being squeezed and poked by your favorite esthetician. Clean & Clear Soft In-Shower Facial is just as amazing as that hour of steaming and eight different masks followed by hot towels as a spa facial.

The initial thought I had was slight worry as I smoothed a layer of the product over my sensitive cheeks, but the minute of waiting for the magic to work literally masked my fear. The clean smelling, slightly course sandy textured facial was enlightening – I would even go so far as to say peace inducing. The simple instructions on the sleekly designed bottle lead me to soft skin instantly! After getting out of my new mini spa (aka my shower) my skin had a new glow and the typical facial redness was nowhere to be seen. Following the Clean & Clear product with my own Aveda moisturizer, my day was off to the freshest start it's seen since that last spa weekend vacation. For such a low price of $6.99 you wouldn't believe you could have the same experience as an hour long facial, but from one refreshed face to those in doubt – you too can be the proud recipient of a facial in a bottle in less than two minutes."

"I tried out the Clean & Clear Soft In-Shower Facial a couple times and the results were pretty good!" says 29-year-old music industry diva Pearl. "I didn't really notice a smell to the product. The directions first ask you to apply to your face for a minute or two, then they ask you to rub it in and exfoliate your skin and wash it off. I have somewhat sensitive skin, and the moment I put it on my face, my skin was burning. I was actually really surprised that this product was so harsh because it's made by Johnson & Johnson. I just assumed it would be pretty gentle on my skin.

After I washed it off, my skin did feel very smooth and looked really clean and bright. And the usage is only supposed to be 2-3 times a week because it is specifically for a deep cleansing. But I'm not sure my face can take that burning sensation. I would recommend this to anyone who doesn't have sensitive skin, because it does clean your face really well. I wouldn't really call it a 'facial' but it's not badly priced at $6.99. But, if you have sensitive skin, you may want to opt for a gentler cleanser."

"This thing is cool!" starts Po, a 29-year-old attorney. "I followed the directions as instructed: I put a generous amount on my face, waited a minute to let the product do what it needed to do with my pores, and then massaged it into my face before washing it off. The feeling of the product during the entire process was very luxurious as it seemed to penetrate my skin with a cooling effect, while emanating a fantastic odor throughout my shower stall. I liked the exfoliating feeling of the beads, but don't think I will be using this product more than once a week - not because it felt bad but because I have been sufficiently influenced by estheticians that overuse of products with beads is too harsh on the skin. Perhaps if there was some reassurance on the bottle that using the product more than once a week is okay, I'd use it more often because it definitely enhanced my experience in the shower.

All in all, I have to say that this product is great! I can't believe it is only $6.99. It felt so great on my skin that I am actually looking forward to using it again next week!"
