I am incredibly reluctant to profess my love for shoes that are faux leather (and cost less than $35, and are sold at a mass market retailer) without actually seeing them in person. But, the new Dolce Vita for Target shoe line is kind of amazing. I can't resist.

As of last week, the big news was that this newest Target designer collaboration would be available initially only at the brand new East Harlem Target store. But, Monday morning rumors were flying that, if you looked hard enough (which wasn't that hard at all) you'd find the entire line for sale online. And, wouldn't you know, the rumors were right. But, I'm sure that my fellow online shopping-fanatic fashionistas are spreading the word far and wide as I write this. The moral of this story: take advantage of this development and snap up your Dolce Vita for Target shoes and boots ASAP!

My absolute #1 pick of the Dolce Vita for Target line is the Buckle Ankle Boots pictured here at top left. They are so funky and fun and, honestly, they are a style that I probably wouldn't ever spend real money to purchase. Three cheers for Dolce Vita for Target! At just $34.99, I'll brave the fact that I haven't seen them in person.

In second place, the Dolce Vita for Target Lace-Up Boots. The top to bottom zipper detail is the best part. These boots remind me a bit of the alterna-punk mid-'90s, but the addition of the zipper adds a more modern touch. These boots will be perfect for those rainy, mucky fall days in San Francisco when I don't want to wear expensive shoes, but I don't want to look like I've given up on style either.
