It’s summer, ladies, and now it’s time to take extra care of your hair. With the heat taking a toll on our hair, we need to be more attentive and feed our hair the right nutrients.

Since it’s nearly impossible to avoid styling your hair, the only way to ease the intensity of chemicals and heat is by having the best products to assist your hair and keep it looking as healthy as possible. It’s inevitable that after prolonged use of a blow dryer, flat iron, or curling iron there will be some damage. But, I found some products that make your hair look healthier and keep it strong and moisturized.

Not only do you need a forthright, amazing hairstylist, you also need the right products to aide you when you’re not in the salon. Since most of us do not have access to a full-on beauty squad to fix us up before we head out the door like Kim Kardashian, we have to troubleshoot ourselves.

I asked a gorgeous friend of mine, Atoosa, who is famous for her hair, how she keeps her locks so stunning and shiny. Although she is genetically blessed in all angles, she did say she is proactive about using hot oil in her hair.

I suggest doing this once a week or biweekly to keep your hair soft and prevent it from breaking. Trust me, if you could see her hair you would be inspired as well. Plus, all you need is an additional minute and, voila, it works!

In order to continuously keep your locks hydrated, especially if you are seeing split ends and feel your hair is wearing thin with the all the additional heat, try L’Oreal Total Repair 5 Damage Erasing Balm. After you’ve shampooed your hair, comb this product through your ends and leave it on for a few minutes before rinsing. This will keep your hair soft and manageable.

If you have to style your hair with a heating appliance, then please keep your poor strands in mind. Spray them with Tresemme Heat Protecting Spray in order to coat your hair and give it the protection it needs. Otherwise you are burning your hair and, trust me, your hair pays for it.
