Loving This Week: Cheap Chic Sweats + Fall’s It Color
Monday, August 10, 2015
With fall’s new arrivals pouring into stores, it’s hard to avoid the temptation start shopping for cooler weather. So, this week’s finds are as much about looking ahead to fall as living in the last weeks of summer. Plus, for lazy days, I found amazing sweats at a great price. Check out all of my top online shopping picks for the week…
1. Hackwith Design House Eaton Dress, $260.00
This simple, relaxed dress feels just right for the end of summer. It has enough structure to go to work, but with a level of ease that won’t feel constricting on warmer days. Come fall, it will be a smart layering piece.
2. Uniqlo Sweatpants, $29.90
I picked up two pair of these slim, slouchy sweats last week. They are plush and cozy, but with a modern fit that is chic enough to wear out of the house. I strongly advise picking up a pair of the white sweats, which are on sale for just $9.90 (such a steal!), while they last. A range of other neutral shades are available for under $30 a pair.
3. M. Gemi Bolla Flats, $198.00
Since Tory Burch unceremoniously stopped making my beloved Eddie flats, I’ve been in a bit of a flats funk. I wore through two pair of Eddies and was well on my way to pair number three when the disappeared from store shelves. I’m still bummed that Eddie is no more, but these M. Gemi Bolla flats look like a worthy replacement. I’ll be snapping them up soon.
4. Warby Parker Lowry 57mm Sunglasses, $95.00
Nordstrom just unleashed a dedicated Warby Parker online “Pop-In” shop featuring a huge selection of sunglasses at $95.00 per pair. The styles are on-trend without feeling overplayed, and the price is right for picking up a pair or two for summer into fall.
5. Vince Signature Collection Small Leather Crossbody Bag, $225.00
Whether you call it mustard, or dark honey, or some other charming moniker, there’s no doubt that this rich take on yellow is one of the It colors for fall. But, it’s also one of those colors that will not look good on everyone. This new bag from Vince will be a fun way to try on the trend without committing to a possibly unflattering head-to-toe look.
