Halogen Leather Skirt - June and Hudson Dress - Halogen Blouse - Nordstrom Scarf - Chelsea28 Pants

While browsing the Nordstrom End of Season Sale this week I noticed they had quite a few fall basics marked way down. That’s not what I was expecting from a sale positioned at the end of the summer season, but I’m not one to pass up a smart shopping opportunity. Check out these ultra-affordable fall fashion basics in my shopping cart…

1. Halogen Leather A-Line Skirt, $104.90 (was $248.00)
Leather is one of those trends that surfaces every fall, albeit with subtle tweaks that make the trend feel brand new. This fall, the runways were full of leather skirts in a-line shapes, making this Halogen skirt not only a fantastic deal but also perfectly on-trend.

2. June & Hudson Animal Print Midi Dress, $40.80 (was $68.00)
This black and white animal print dress is an ideal base layer for experimenting with fall’s animal print trend. Add a chunky sweater over top to get a funky downtown vibe or pair with a sleek blazer for a more work-worthy look.

3. Halogen Scarf Tie Blouse, $38.98 (was $78.00)
Ladylike tie-neck blouses got a lot of use on the fall runways, paired with everything from wide-leg trousers to barely there skirts at labels like Gucci, Chloe, and Haider Ackermann. This inexpensive incarnation is available in solid black and baby blue, plus three different prints, any of which would be an instant wardrobe update for fall.

4. Nordstrom Tissue Weight Wool & Cashmere Wrap, $58.80 (was $98.00)
A cozy cashmere scarf is my favorite fall accessory. I can’t get enough. This sale priced find is available in fifteen gorgeous colors, each one marked 40% off.

5. Chelsea28 Flat Front Wide Leg Pants, $52.80 (was $88.00)
Everything old is new again. Wide leg pants are back with a vengeance for fall, surfacing as part of the big ‘70s style revival. These basic wide leg trousers – available in four colors – are a chance to try on the look without dropping a lot of cash.
