Steal: Gap Perfect Khaki Blazer $88

Wednesday, December 30, 2009

Gap Khaki blazer
Gap Perfect Khaki Blazer

$88.00
Available at: gap.com

I'm always dubious of an article of clothing that claims to be perfect right in its name. That's kind of asking for it. But, if you are in the market for a clean, classic khaki blazer-- a real wardrobe staple-- then the brand new Gap Perfect Khaki Blazer is a darn good choice.

This cotton stretch blazer is devoid of bells and whistles. It features clean lines with a classic notched collar and slightly rounded hem. The lined sleeves can been worn traditionally or rolled, as shown in this photo, for a more relaxed look.

Paired with boyfriend jeans or cropped trousers, this khaki blazer will give off a boyish charm. Added to a more refined skirt or pant, this blazer is perfect for a more dressy office environment that falls short of requiring a full on suit. At only $88, the price is actually quite good for a tailored, multi-season blazer. It is also available in a wide range of sizes: 0-20 regular, 2-16 tall, and 0-16 petite. Like I said, perhaps not "perfect," but definitely a wise and economical wardrobe addition.

FOUND: Ashley Greene's Leopard Jacket

Ashley Greene wearing Alice + Olivia
Alice + Olivia Faux-Fur Jacket

$385.00
Available at: saks.com

I'm a big fan of faux fur. It's glam, but conscientious, and typically snuggly warm. But, I have a hard and fast rule about my own faux fur consumption: it can't pretend to be something that it's not. That is, I like my faux fur to be obviously faux. Something about trying really hard to look like you are wearing real fur, but you're not, just doesn't sit well will me. I like my faux fur to be in outrageous colors, unreal proportioned prints, and unlikely animals. Needless to say, I'm loving this recent celeb fashion find.

Twilight's Ashley Greene was recently photographed getting a mani and pedi in LA sporting slouchy boyfriend jeans and a cozy shrunken leopard-print faux fur jacket. First of all, the combination of cropped boyfriend jeans and a faux fur jacket just screams LA to me-- we are talking about the same city that made short shorts and UGG boots into a fad. But, the jacket itself is super cute and could easily be dressed up with the addition of a LBD or other party-worthy frock. Love it.

Want to steal Ashley Greene's faux fur style for yourself? She's wearing the Alice + Olivia Shrunken Faux-Fur Jacket in lush leopard print. This super popular jacket, which has also been spotted on Nicky Hilton, features a cropped shape and a kicky oversized Peter Pan collar. Winter Fashion: Luscious Earth Tones

Wednesday, December 30, 2009

--By Kim Moshtaghi

Guess by Marciano Piper Drape Neck Dress
Guess by Marciano Piper Dress

$138.00
Available at: marciano.com

Earth tones always look immaculate-- they have so much class and sophistication for such a simple color scheme. The beauty of earth tones is their simplicity and their ability to blend wonderfully with other colors. Every year around this time I get really into my browns and beige color combinations to enhance my look, or simply to be able to wear with any other piece of clothing from my wardrobe. Whether you wear them as an accent piece, such as a belt, or as a dress, you’re sure to love the natural colors that represent the earth. Let’s dive into the earth…

A conservative, yet sexy dress is just the ticket for this season. This hip hugging, curve embracing Guess by Marciano Piper Drape Neck Dress is hot! It’s appropriate for an office party and it’s perfect for a nice dinner date. I love the wearing potential of this dress! The layered fabric is beautiful and almost shawl-like. This long-sleeved knee length dress is great for the chilly season-- who says you can’t look good when it’s cold out?

Pria Sweater, Cowl Neck with Belt
Pria Cowl Neck Sweater

$39.99 (was $668-- save 41%!)
Available at: macys.com

Another winter essential is the belted sweater. The Pria Cowl Neck Sweater comes in a few different earth tone colors for $39.99! The simple style is great for a laid back look that will keep you warm, comfortable and stylin’ all at the same time! The longer style of the sweater makes it fun and easy to pair with leggings and boots to liven it up for an evening.

If you already have lots of earth tones in your closet, but you need a small accessory to help tie them together or to accentuate the waistline, try the J.J Winters Zipper Belt. This brown leather belt has gold zippers and a buckle front to complete its rocker look. Personally, I’d replace the belt the sweater comes with and rock this one instead. Wear it over dresses, sweaters, and ripped denim to show off this edgy belt.

Keeping it in the rock theme, I found a chic Leather Studded Clutch from Banana Republic. The best thing about Banana Republic handbags is their unbelievably soft leather-- you could rub your skin with it and you wouldn’t get irritated. This fold-over style clutch has more space to keep the everyday essentials without looking like an oversized cheesy clutch. The snazzy bright orange-gold interior makes opening this bag extra fun.

FOUND: Stephanie Pratt's Denim Leggings

Stephanie Pratt wearing Charley 5.0 Skinny Mini Denim Leggings
Charley 5.0 Denim Leggings

$162.00
Available at: thehipchick.com

I've been going back and forth about denim leggings. On one hand, leggings are super comfortable and denim goes with just about everything. It should be perfect fit. On the other hand... well... denim leggings? It does seem like one of those fashion fads that people follow blindly, only to figure out years later that they were, in fact, a slave to fashion in the worst possible way. I'm not going to pretend that I have a solution to the dilemma, but I do have a example of how one might actually pull off this questionable trend.

The Hills reality starlet Stephanie Pratt was recently snapped wearing a denim legging-based ensemble that was actually really cute and casual. I'm still not convinced that denim leggings are a trend that will last-- or that we won't be completely embarrassed for following a few years from now-- but I can now see the merits of this new take on denim. I might have to snap up a pair of denim leggings for myself to see what I can do with this trend.

Want to steal Stephanie Pratt's denim leggings style for yourself? She's wearing the Charley 5.0 Skinny Mini Denim Leggings in Indigo. These super on-trend leggings are also available in black wash Eclipse. Both washes are available online at The Hip Chick-- click through the picture above to link directly to where you can purchase or see more views, and then judge for yourself.

$147.50 (was $295-- save 50%!)
Available at: shopbop.com

I just purchased my first Rebecca Minkoff Morning After Bag-- after plotting to acquire one for ages-- and I have to say, it was worth the wait. It's roomy, with smart pockets that keep important items within easy reach, and the color is gorgeous-- a super saturated navy blue. But, my contentment was short-lived. I'm now craving a super cute Rebecca Minkoff Mini Mini for those days when the full size MAB is overkill.

With the onslaught of crazy after-Christmas sales, I may snag my new Mini Mini sooner than expected. I just ran across this adorable Rebecca Minkoff Mini Mini bag in Tan Iguana marked 50% off retail price. This iguana-print leather bag features all of the distinctive styling of the nouveau-classic MAB, but shrunken down to miniature size. Ok, so it's not exactly tiny-- the Mini Mini comes in at a respectable 5" by 9" by 5", which is just right for toting the essentials on a day of running errands.

FOUND: New Year's Dresses for Any Party

Monday, December 28, 2009

--By Kim Moshtaghi

Yes, it’s here... not Christmas, but New Year's. As much as I love to leave this year and enter a New Year with hope, I dread looking for a New Year’s Eve dress. The pressure of looking good and feeling good that night is overwhelming. That’s why I already started looking around. I’m over seeing the typical black dress and the overly-sequined outfits, and instead choose to enter 2010 with a bright colored dress with confidence. Black is so blah to bring in the New Year.

I have three sexy, bright, bold colored dresses that will bring in the New Year with lots of sass and impeccable style. My three New Year's Eve dress selections vary in style and fanciness. My first pick is a dress that is beyond glamorous, but the downfall is you would only re-wear it to a wedding reception or a seriously glam charity event. Besides the re-wearing factor, the dress is sophisticated and bold. The Royal Purple Charmeuse Evening Gown by Alyce Designs is stunning with a capital S! The dress is a long gown with a jeweled neck and bust-line. Although the jewels add a glitzy touch to the dress, it is rather simple and tasteful. The gown also comes with extra material for an optional grand entrance with a train, or perhaps to cover your shoulders for some warmth. Either way, this is a great pick for a New Year's Eve party at a fancy hotel or a black-tie cocktail party.

French Connection Fast Flash Cotton Dress
French Connection Fast Flash Dress

$168.00
Available at: bloomingdales.com

Toning it down a bit from the purple gown, I love this French Connection "Fast Flash" cotton dress in Sunshine. The yellow mini is so sexy and fun. It’s a great dress to rock the dance floor in and there is a lot of re-wearing potential with this dress. This would be a great choice if you’re going to an intimate cocktail party or a bar for New Year's Eve. The dress is a very casual, yet the bow tie across the bodice spices it up. The two front pockets make it seem youthful and versatile, giving it a summer appeal-- just imagine wearing it with some jeweled turquoise sandals. It’s wonderful to know you can wear something from season to season!

Lastly, I kind of gave in to a half-black dress. The Bebe Colorblock Off-the Shoulder Mini Dress is called “Heartbreaker,” and I think it would do just that. Actually, now that I think about it, it would be a great dress for a run-in with the ex. I love that the collarbones are visible and the combination of red and black is always so mysterious and sexy. The stretchy material hides all the fluff, and shows off all the assets.

Fashion Cents: How To Shop Online Sample Sales

Wednesday, December 23, 2009

--By Kimberly Turner

I just got back from New York City on Sunday night and, despite being snowed in and having three flights canceled on my return, I LOVE that city! I lived there for a couple of years and while I was eager to get back home to family, there are 3 things I truly miss – 1.) ENERGY, 2.) Broadway Shows, and 3.) Sample Sales. Bad attitudes and great food are in abundance here in Chicago too.

While I don’t think there is any duplicating the energy or seeing a show on Broadway, I must admit, these online sample sales do a pretty good job of filling that sample sale void for me. But there are 2 key differences:

1. Lots of Options Daily – versus the NY versions which feel really special and limited.

2. Can’t Try It On! – it sucks not to make sure those medium wool pants will be a perfect fit but at 50 to 80% off, it could be worth the risk.
Now, watch the video and I will give you tips for shopping these sales SMARTLY. Then see the end of this post for invites to the sites. Make sense?

Red + Lime = Bold Fashion Statement

Tuesday, December 22, 2009

--By Kim Moshtaghi

Today my mom came over and looked absolutely stunning! I aspire to have her fashion sense and looks when I get older. She came in with a hot color combination that floored me! My mom-- who I call Lil’ Ells because her name is Elli and she’s shorter and smaller than me-- came in wearing a red pencil skirt and matching blazer with lime green accents. Let me be specific, she was wearing a silk lime green shirt with a multi-layered green beaded necklace, earrings, handbag and shoes. The outfit looked marvelous-- I would have never thought to wear red and lime green together.

Elli - Bold Fashion Statement

Chico's Sleek Shantung Weldon Shirt
Chico's Shantung Weldon Shirt

$89.00
Available at: chicos.com

Since I strive to attain the fashion sense of my 50-year-old mother, I’m going to start doing my homework now. I found some key pieces to help me put together a similar look as hers. I really liked how she mixed her textures by wearing a silk shirt with a thicker material blazer. To get a Kimified version of this look I wanted a longer version of her shirt to wear over red pants instead of a skirt, and because I’m feeling bloated these days.

Chico’s has a perfect 100 % silk lime green shirt that’s loose fitted with classic collars. I love this particular shirt because it’s a long sleeved, slimming tailored button down-- just priceless. There are endless combinations that can be made with this Sleek Shantung Weldon Shirt. This shirt is a key piece to start copying Lil' Ells' look.

Jessica Simpson Belted Melton Coat
Jessica Simpson Melton Coat

$159.99 (was $275-- save 42%!)
Available at: macys.com

To get the layered, sophisticated look with a little spin off my mom's look, I picked a longer red coat that will show off the top of the lime green shirt. I like this Jessica Simpson above-the- knee Belted Melton coat with thick belt and hidden buttons because it’s warm and a classy looking combination. The thicker texture really helps the silk shirt pop.

One of the neatest things about my mom's admired look is that she had the red belt and the layered beaded necklace. I thought it completed the look perfectly. It was the icing on the cake. Chico’s has just the cutest five strand Louiselle statement necklace. The five strands consist of turquoise, abalone shell, and sparkling green glass. It's not a necklace you'll wear just once because of its ability to brighten any look.

Who would have thought that green, the color of envy and growth, goes so well with red, the color of passion and desire? Once I saw Lil’ Ells it all made sense. After all, without desire, there would be no growth.

Gift This: Charity Gift Cards & Donations

Friday, December 18, 2009

--By Pearl C.

World Wildlife Fund Gift Center - Adopt a Polar Bear
WWF Adopt a Polar Bear

$25 - $250
Available at: worldwildlife.org

Happy Holidays SJ Peeps! Hope you are having a very happy holiday season. I just wanted to take a minute and share my gift idea with you. I really hope my family is not reading this right now (spoiler alert)!

As I’ve alluded to before, I feel like this year has been tough on a lot of us. Spending cash on more golf paraphernalia for my dad or clothes that my mom will inevitably return just isn’t appealing to me this season. Instead, I have decided to give a little more this year and hope that my family and friends appreciate it as much as I do. There are several ways to give charity donations as gifts, but these are some cool ones that stuck with me.

TisBest is a company that allows you to choose from printing out a gift card, sending one over email, or receiving a plastic (recyclable) gift card in the mail. You can choose from their designs, or upload your own photo to the card, and I dig that personal touch. You can also choose the amount you add to the card. The way it works is that you give the card to the recipient (and you get the tax deduction), and the recipient logs on to the TisBest site and chooses between 250 charity organizations for their donation. I loved this idea, since I wanted my family and friends to feel as good as I felt after giving them this gift. You can still rush your order with them in time for Christmas.

Heifer.org - Give a Flock of Chicks
Flock of Chicks Gift

$20.00
Available at: heifer.org

The World Wildlife Fund has a really cool gifting program that allows you to “adopt” from 100 different endangered species and they will send you a symbolic stuffed animal and certificate with facts on your animal. They have different price levels, which will give you a larger gift depending on your donation. What a great way to introduce the younger generation to charity gifting!

Heifer International is another cool site that allows you to buy livestock and training in increments for impoverished families all over the world. For example, you can buy a flock of chicks for $20 that will feed a family from the chicks’ eggs or a goat for $120 (you can purchase a share of a goat for $10) which will produce a ton of milk throughout the year for another family in need. You can print your donation gift online and give it to the recipient on the spot, no shipping charges necessary.

Happy gifting!

Winter Fashion: Cute, Cozy Socks

Tuesday, December 15, 2009

--By Kim Moshtaghi

Nordstrom Rugby Stripe Slipper Socks
Nordstrom Rugby Stripe Slipper Socks

$18.00
Available at: nordstrom.com

It can be such a chore to keep your feet warm during the winter months. Not only does it feel good to keep the toes warm, but it is vital to prevent catching a cold. It was kind of boring for me to get into the whole sock buying thing since I live in San Diego, but it’s been extremely cold and wet lately, forcing me to stock up on socks. It’s interesting that there are so many different kinds of socks-- it's almost overwhelming. Before my sock binge I had no idea that cotton socks are bad in the wet weather; I guess I never thought about it. Cotton socks absorb and hold the moisture causing frost bite in the severe cold. I got a few different kinds of socks to be prepared in case of rain, snow or just the plain cold.

My first pair of socks is simply convenient to wear around the house because of their non-skid dots on the soles-- love it! I have a pair that I wore to death already. I wear them with or without slippers when walking around the house, I even left a pair at my dad’s house to prevent from getting chilly walking on his marble floors. The idea is that they keep your feet warm with the grip of shoes-- no sliding. These cutesy Nordstrom Rugby Stripe Slipper Socks come in 4 different color combinations that will remind you of your childhood.

Juicy Couture - Knee Argyle Socks (Homecoming Combo) - Hosiery
Juicy Couture Argyle Socks

$28.00
Available at: zappos.com

REI has the right gear to face any weather condition. The North Face Ski Padded Socks keep the toes warm with a wool blend and insulation to prevent the moisture from getting in. If that’s not enough, the socks also have padding of major pressure points to promote a forward lean. To eliminate annoying bunching of the sock, the shin, heel, and toe are cushioned for shock absorption. And, in order to ensure even more comfort the toe seams enhance comfort by being smooth and flat. Voila! I found some superhero socks!

I couldn’t resist buying a couple pair of argyle knee high socks. They’re perfect under a boot, and around the house. Plus, they look flirty and fun-- sort of like lingerie for the feet. Juicy Couture has a cute Argyle Sock in plum and gray with a pop of bright red for the toe area. Definitely fun loving socks, but, for an even edgier sassy look Betsey Johnson has Schoolgirl Sweetie Over-The-Knee Socks that would be perfect for Christmas. Unfortunately, this pair only comes in sizes 9-11.

It’s not just about pedicure anymore, in the winter it’s all about keeping those polished beauties in the safe zone with the right socks!

GiftCardRescue.com
Feelin' broke these days? Well you're not the only one in the world! Tons of companies and people are filing for bankruptcy as the dwindling economy leaves them with not much breathing room in the profit area of business and life. But what happens when a company you know and love files for bankruptcy?

Firstly, where are you going to shop now? This happened to me a few years ago...my most favorite boutique that carried exactly the things I loved finally announced that it would be having a super blow out sale and then...nothing afterwards. Wow, was I really going to be subjected to a life in the malls and .com sites? At this point, the answer is yes. So for all you online shoppers in the same boat as myself, you'll be excited to hear about GiftCardRescue.com.

This gift card website leads you to still be in control of your gifts for once and for all - if a company you hold a card for from the website goes under, you will be reimbursed for your loss - genius! This will last until March 31, 2010, so after Christmas be sure to check up on what you received over the holidays. And of course, be sure to tell everyone you know so you get and receive from GiftCardRescue.com to be safe!

"With the holiday season quickly approaching, this is the peak time for gift card purchase and redemption,” stated Kwame Kuadey, CEO, GiftCardRescue.com. “Holiday shopping should be an enjoyable experience, rather than one that causes worry and anxiety. We wanted to give our customers the assurance that their discounted gift card purchases through GiftCardRescue.com are safe from retailer bankruptcy.” Go for a Sunglass Hut or a Borders, start gifting!

Go to Bloomingdales and get the Guerlain Le Rouge G de Guerlain Lipstick...I know, it's $45 and that's a lot, but this is beauty ladies...you spend $100 just driving around and the lipstick lasts longer than a tank of gas, I swear!

Gift This: Great Gifts for Him

Brookstone Electric Automatic Wine Opener
Brookstone Electric Wine Opener

$39.95
Available at: amazon.com

It’s not easy to pick out holiday gifts for men. You would think it should be easier since they are less complicated than women. Men have fewer things to choose from, but that is what makes it less exciting, I suppose. I find it harder to get thrilled buying my dad and brother gifts than my girlfriends. I guess when you're buying the same sex gifts you get to look for yourself too-- a little bit more selfish! If you have similar problem, you’ll be impressed with my list of great gifts to buy “him.” The funny thing is, I chose items that I would use as well-- I couldn’t let go of my selfish side!

They say it’s a great gift if you get something you want, but wouldn’t buy for yourself. My first pick is just that. Men rarely buy a box to hold anything, especially their watches-- it’s a wonderful gift! If the man you are buying for has two or more watches, this Ampersand Watch Case with Glass Doors will be a much appreciated gift. The wooden box prevents the watches from getting misplaced or damaged. It holds up to 5 watches securely, each over their own individual pillow. This box keeps everything organized, clean, and visible for the awesome price of $19.99.

Burberry Camel Check Card Case with ID
Burberry Camel Check Card Case

$175.00
Available at: bloomingdales.com

If he’s a wine lover, snag this automatic wine opener. This opener keeps it simple by uncorking a bottle of wine in seconds, with a push of a button. I love how smooth it is-- no messy accidents or frustrations. The Brookstone Automatic Electric Wine Opener is rechargeable and works on both synthetic and natural corks. The opener comes with a foil cutter, the rechargeable base, and AC adapter. I personally have one of these openers and use it all the time. Now that I have one, I couldn’t imagine going through all the motions of uncorking a bottle of wine again!

The next item has to do with charging an iPod or iPhone. Also from Brookstone, the iDesign Power Speaker Stereo Dock is a sleek compact size iPod / iPhone dock with 2 full range stereo speakers and a built in subwoofer. It has easy access volume controls and plays, docks and charges most iPods. The small, modern design makes this a great gift because it can be taken from room to room if needed. Plus, the cool design makes it more appealing.

Lastly, if you have a man in your life who loves high-end labels and doesn’t settle for less, I dig the Burberry Camel Check Card Case. It’s definitely not a full wallet, but something for the man who likes to avoid bulk and tends to leave the house with one or two credit cards and a driver's license. This classy credit card holder with the famous Burberry print is always a hit!

Review: Raw Minerals Mineral Makeup

Raw Minerals Mineral Makeup Discovery Kit
Raw Minerals Discovery Kit

$180.00
Available at: rawnaturalbeauty.com

Mineral makeup seems to have a great rap with my circle of friends but, not having experience in different kinds for raw mineral makeup, I decided to test out a few products. My favorite was Raw Natural Beauty because the Discovery Kit was a huge perk for me. Basically, you’re buying a kit and you get 7 pieces that will make your life easier. The Raw Minerals Discovery Kit comes with 2 foundation shades, Mineral Glow, Active Veil SPF 18, maximum coverage foundation brush, concealer brush, and a multi-tasking retractable brush. The Raw Minerals Discovery Kit is usually $180 but, with the Promotion code Discovery50 you get 50% off and free shipping!

Before purchasing, the first step is to pick your shade, and the website is very helpful with this process. The whole thing is spelled out for you. You have 4 categories to choose from: tan, medium, light and deep. Once you select a shade you get two different foundation shades and either one of them will work or you can blend them to get that perfect shade. After applying the foundation on a clean face, you can apply the Glow on cheeks, nose and neck, but I used mine on cheeks only. After you are all done you use the Active Veil SPF 18 for the entire face to set the foundation in place. These three easy steps are all it takes to get luminous, healthy looking skin.

I think this would be a great gift for moms and sisters for the holidays. I could see my mom loving this because it’s a minimal amount of makeup that goes a long way. The foundation is lightweight and doesn’t sit in wrinkles and fine lines. It really doesn’t feel or look like you’re wearing a lot of makeup. As I mentioned before, the interactive website is also very helpful. It goes through the steps of applying mineral makeup in the simplest terms for those that are mineral makeup virgins. Another perk is getting 2 different foundations, which enable you to darken or lighten your face. This is also good when transitioning into different seasons. Check out the website and get the process of radiant glowing skin started!

Fashion Cents: Office Party Attire

Wednesday, December 09, 2009

--By Kimberly Turner

What to wear to the upcoming company office party? Remember, while you are “off the clock” you are still being judged so don’t let one wrong mistake at the office party give you a reputation for the rest of the year or worst, your work career. Here are 3 tips to stay “buttoned up” yet festive at this year’s corporate holiday party:

1. Really, stay buttoned up. Don’t show too much cleavage. The women at the party will not appreciate you sharing your “girls” with their men.

2. Stay in budget. No need to buy something new. Recycle your current pieces like a black suit or little black dress (LBD). A new outfit might signal that you don’t need that bonus or raise. You can always make the recycled items festive with new accessories.

3. Stay on your best behavior. NO dancing on the tables, lap dances for your co-workers or their husbands. It had to be said!

Whew, now you are ready for the party. Cheers!

Pearl Picks: The Holiday Wish List

Wednesday, December 09, 2009

--By Pearl C.

To celebrate the holidays in style, the Stiletto Jungle editors and contributors are sharing their holiday wish lists throughout the month of December. See them all: Pearl, Jules, Po.

Given the state of the world, this holiday season feels very different from other seasons. I’ve noticed that I want to ask for less, and that I want to give so much more. Sort of a nice change of pace! With that being said, I do of course have a wish list. But in typical Pearl C.-style, I don’t like waiting for someone else to make my wishes come true, so I have bought these items myself. That’s just how I roll.

Jeffrey Campbell Carry Boot
Jeffrey Campbell Carry Boot

$184.95
Available at: solestruck.com

A couple weeks ago I went on an OTK (over the knee) boot hunt. My fave pair so far is the Jeffrey Campbell Carry boot. This boot became such a fall staple, it sold out everywhere! I found out that certain sites received replenishments, so get them while you can. So comfortable and the straps are great because you can adjust how tight/loose you need the boot to be to your leg shape.

Dr. Martens Women's 1B60 Boot
Dr. Martens 1B60 Boot

$104.90 - $149.90
Available at: amazon.com

I’m bringing it back old school style with another pair of boots that I wore when I was a rebellious teenager, listening to punk music and bringing down the man. How cool were Doc Martens?? I love these lace up Docs and once you wear them in, they feel like extensions of your feet. They also happen to be perfect for all kinds of weather and come in cherry red, white, black patent, or black/silver. Your inner rock fan is calling.

Apple - iPod nano 16GB MP3 Player - Purple
Apple iPod Nano

$169.99
Available at: bestbuy.com

Of course I need to have the perfect music accessory to go with my wardrobe. I just picked up the new iPod Nano in purple (or whatever color of the rainbow you’d like) and one awesome new feature is you can take video! I tested it out over the weekend and it works very well, and pretty good quality for the size of the camera. I suggest going 16 GB instead of 8, because they pre-install software that takes up some room. Best Buy has matching (or mis-matching, you choose), low priced earphones too. A very cool present!

MICHAEL Michael Kors smoke quilted drawstring hooded down anarak
Michael Michael Kors Down Anarak

$159.00 (was $265-- save 40%!)
Available at: bluefly.com

Moving from LA to NYC has me in a state of panic over the cold winter. I feel as if I have moved to the arctic and need an awesome coat to keep me super warm. This down coat in a smoke grey color is very warm, but won’t make you look like the Pillsbury doughboy because of the drawstring waist. It’s at a great price right now at Bluefly. I also like that it’s faux fur trim around the hood so I feel a little more socially responsible!

Fuji Instax Instant Camera
Fuji Instax Instant Camera

$130.00
Available at: urbanoutfitters.com

Photos are starting to lose their cool with all the doctoring and photoshopping after a photo is taken. I love this old school Fuji Instax instant camera that takes credit card sized photos. The film can get expensive so be choosy with your shots. No editing allowed.
