Available at: adrianacastroonline.com

When you need to chic up an outfit in a hurry, there's nothing like an oversized clutch in a luxe material...

Ok, I was planning to intro this post with some wise words about the utility of a glammy clutch, but truthfully I was first drawn to write about this new handbag find because of this stunning picture of the Kardashian sisters. I totally adore them. I tried hard not to like them, as I have an aversion to people who are famous for being famous, but I couldn't resist their magnetic pull.

So, when this recent pic from the red carpet at Khloe's Las Vegas birthday party landed in my inbox (courtesy of the good people at B' squared Public Relations) I had to use it. Luckily adorable Kourtney Kardashian happened to be toting a totally standout oversized clutch that is more than worthy of a little adoration. Yes, a luxe clutch is truly a handbag wardrobe must have and Kourtney picked a winner.

Want to snag Kourtney Kardashian's chic clutch style for yourself? She's carrying the Adriana Castro Modish Clutch in Unbleach. This upscale handbag is crafted from Caiman fuscus crocodile with suede lining. Available in six gorgeous colors ranging from classic Black and Cognac, to vibrant Purple and Rose, this is one of those handbags that will last for decades and may even find a home in your daughter's wardrobe. Great pick, Kourtney!

How To: Inexpensive At Home Facial

Conair Facial Sauna System
Conair Facial Sauna

$25.99
Available at: target.com

Keeping your skin radiant is important… especially if you want to look 20 instead of 50. There is the obvious way to prevent your skin from getting damaged and drastically aging: drinking a lot of water, staying out of the sun, eating well and getting sufficient rest. But, in order to fight the skin battle with full force, there are a couple products that are useful to have.

I think everyone likes the way their skin feels after a 10 minute sauna session, but it's not always practical and convenient to get to one. The Conair Facial Sauna System is a compact sauna you can take anywhere. It's a small feather-light mister that will open up your pores in order to perfectly clean and freshen the skin. The moisturizing mister includes a facial tool with two attachments: a rotating brush to exfoliate the skin and a sponge to apply moisturizer. The attachments don't necessarily need to be used, but they are nice to have just in case. The little sauna system is a quick and efficient way to open the pores, and get the skin prepped for an at-home mini facial. Its nice to save $100, and avoid leaving home.

Queen Helene Mint Julep Masque
Queen Helene Mint Julep Masque

$3.99
Available at: drugstore.com icon

The sauna system will freshen up the skin, making it super smooth. To take full advantage of your refreshed skin, it's a smart idea to apply a mask on the face and neck. An amazing and affordable one is the Queen Helene Mint Julep Masque. This mask helps dry up acne and rinse away the dead skin, resulting in tighter, smaller pored looking skin. Being mint, the mask will also smell and feel very refreshing.

For those of you who require, or are looking for, a daily skin routine I recommend the great working Neutrogena Complete Acne Therapy System. The pack comes with three tubes of skin treatment. One of them is an oil-free day lotion, the second tube is a skin polishing cleanser that contains Salicylic Acid and Benzoyl Peroxide, and the last product is a miracle-working skin therapy package for night time. All three products are there to help with any skin blemishes, and will show results after four days of usage. If you order soon there is a $5 off promo code offer (use promo code NTRGDSCT).

You can get shiny healthy skin without emptying your wallet!

FOUND: Annalynne McCord's White Wrap Bracelet

Annalynne McCord wearing Vita White Combina Bracelet
Vita Combina Bracelet

$100.00
Available at: maxandchloe.com

This weekend marked the first truly hot summer weekend here in the San Francisco bay area. Finally, it feels like summer. And with the first days of summer comes a distinctive change in wardrobe. When the daytime temps reach into the 90s, dark colors, oppressive cuts and heavy fabrics suddenly seem very out of place. Also out of place is the layers of statement jewelry that seemed perfect for the first days of spring. It's time to lighten up in every way possible.

90210 cutie Annalynne McCord has summer dressing down. She was recently spotted in a spare tank, summer-tastic skinny white jeans and lightweight accessories that didn't vibe at all constricting in the summer sun. I'm particularly taken with Annalynne's white wrap bracelet with gold accents, seen here on her left wrist. White accessories look spot on for summer and this bracelet is casual enough to wear everyday.

Want to steal Annalynne McCord's white wrap bracelet look for yourself? She's wearing the Combina Bracelet from celeb favorite jewelry line Vita. This white leather bracelet features yellow gold crisscross details and measures 22 inches long, made to wrap around your wrist three times. Currently available for $100 at online jewelry boutique Max & Chloe, you can take an additional 20% off through June 30 with code 5DAY20.

How To: Wear & Care for Patent Leather

Friday, June 26, 2009

--By Kim Moshtaghi

Tonal Patent Leather Vintage Bag by Orla Kiely
Orla Kiely Patent Leather Bag

$325.00 (was $452-- save 28%!)
Available at: edressme.com

Patent leather has always been eye catching to me because of its obvious shine and formal look. Although patent leather can look cheap, the key is to wear it with other small accessories. It looks good when you can find dainty patent leather shoes and pair them with a matching belt and purse.

Besides wearing patent leather correctly, the next dilemma seems to be how to take care of it. The best way to maintain the shine on patent leather is to clean it with a damp cloth, using a mild soap. I recommend cleaning the item after using it to keep it from getting marked or scuffed up. To get out scuff marks it’s best to use a professional patent leather cleaner that can be purchased at the store. Also, shoe/handbag repair stores usually have the best products to remove bad scuff marks.

I found three beautiful patent leather items that would look great together without looking tasteless and overwhelming. All three items would look great as an accent to one another or as part of an outfit.

Tory Burch Miller Logo Thong
Tory Burch "Miller" Thong

$195.00
Available at: nordstrom.com

The first item is a unique patent leather purse by Orla Kiely. She’s known for her bold color combinations, and this is a perfect handbag to show off her expertise! This handbag is a two toned blue color with white. I love the colors she chose-- they flow so smoothly. I think the style of the handbag is lovely because it looks so classy, and at the same time it is a very spacious bag. The Tonal Patent Leather Vintage Bag by Orla Kiely is on sale for $325-- great for a timeless handbag.

Next on my patent leather list are some rockin’ Tory Burch white patent leather ‘Miller’ logo shoes. These thongs are so hot, and they would great along with the Orla Kiely handbag. Not only would they look nice with a maxi dress, short dress or some shorts, but they are also one of the few sandals that are night time appropriate. Trust me, it’s soothing to know that you don’t have to feel uncomfortable wearing sandals at a dinner party. There’s nothing like feeling confident and comfy in some sexy flats.

Lastly, there is the fun white patent Lauren by Ralph Lauren belt that will go with the purse and the Tory Burch thongs, or solo to show the shine off! This is a polished, sassy looking belt that compliments most wardrobes. Go on and be the shiny diva of the night, combine all three items or flaunt them individually as an unforgettably sexy accent piece.

New & Hot: Vera Wang Lavender Label Kristen Boots

Vera Wang Lavender Label Kristen Boots
Vera Wang Lavender Label
Kristen Boots

$425.00
Available at: shopbop.com

I'm going to be honest, I've never been a fan of Vera Wang Lavender Label. I keep trying on pieces that look great on the hanger, but fit lousy on my body. The waistband gapes on trousers; blouses fit too tight across the chest and too loose through the midsection. It's weird. I had pretty much written off Vera Wang Lavender Label... until I ran across this little gift in the ShopBop New Arrivals section.

The Kristen Boot from Vera Wang Lavender Label is gorgeous. I had no idea this label was producing shoes, let alone rugged boots that would be right at home at a summer music festival. With 15 inches of delicious pebbled black leather and a simple, yet posh rounded toe, these boots are the kind of accessory that you'll wear until they wear out. I love that in a boot as flat boots in particular seem to only get better with age. As soon as I can scrape together $425, these boots are all mine.

Review: Bodyography Cosmetics

Bodyography Natural Finish Face Bronzer
Bodyography Face Bronzer

$27.00
Available at: bodyography.com

I'm a sucker for new products and have a permanent soft spot in my heart for San Diego, where I went to grad school and lived for almost seven years. The two come together in Bodyography, a San Diego-based cosmetics company that specializes in cosmetics for makeup professionals and salons, so I was excited to turn the spotlight on the label. To celebrate Bodyography's latest collection-- Coast to Coast by Bodyography-- our friends at Bodyography offered to let us try out a couple of their recently released products (plus an old favorite).

Natural Finish Face Bronzer and Catalina Eye Pencil are both part of the new Coast to Coast Collection. The Eye Pencil is designed to be long-wearing and water resistant, yet safe for sensitive eyes. Natural Finish Face Bronzer is mineral-based, designed to work with virtually all skin tones, and contains anti-aging ingredients. Bodyography Lipgloss is aloe vera based and comes in a lightweight formula.

It all sounds great, but do the products live up to the pitch perfect ad copy? We turned the products loose with the Stiletto Jungle team. Here's what they had to say:

Jules Newmark
Ladies, prepare to be a bronze goddess coming soon. Bodyography's Coast to Coast Natural Finish Face Bronzer comes in a nice-sized tube and is a creamy type texture. This product can be used to build a base tan over a few days rather than create a smeared tan that looks too fake. The bronzing formula was made with minerals to match every face as well as some anti-aging components. All this for just $27!!
--Jules Newmark, San Diego, CA

Tina B.
I was excited to try an eye pencil, I have not used one in years. I am a big fan of powder for my eyeliner because I can get a thin line around my eyes. So, when the Bodyography Coast to Coast Eye Pencil in Catalina arrived I tried it immediately. It took a few tries to get the results I wanted and even then I wasn't completely happy. I found that I used the pencil when I wanted a thicker more smudged look. It is a great pencil and actually goes on without poking your eye out, but it isn't very precise. You have to want a thicker line and a little less perfect. It is a great look, just not one I would wear every day.
--Tina B., San Diego, CA

Michelle S.
I just tried the new Bodygraphy Lipgloss in Clear-- no glitter-- and it was awesome! I loved it. I just spent three days in the sun and just used the Bodyography Lipgloss. My lips came home feeling great... the rest of of me a different story. I felt a little over exposed, but my lips were still feeling great and kissable. Really, you have got to try it.

New & Hot: CamelAmmo Panty Inserts

Wednesday, June 24, 2009

--By Jules Newmark

CamelAmmo - Camel Toe Eliminator
CamelAmmo

$10.00
Available at: camelammo.com

Okay, for this one, I was dying thinking about all the women I've seen in the last two days that could use this... and or all the pants I didn't buy because of this issue. Now, you've all heard guys in high school making fun of one, or seen someone totally oblivious walking down the street getting stared at by men and women, but the "camel toe", "frontal wedgie", "the other cleavage", is a big no-no and there is a company that is combating the commentary, CamelAmmo.

Quite the clever name I must say and ladies, let's face it, this happens to all of us and someone needed to address it! Creators Treger Strasberg and Loren Weiner, who are both moms and practice yoga (of which the frontal wedgie is a huge concern, hello spandex), saw the great need to provide some dignity for women everywhere and came up with the small panty insert. Now there is more than one use for that little pocket in your underwear called your panty liner.

The CamelAmmo, which of course comes in a pink camo pattern, is made of eco-friendly materials and slips right into your panty liner "pocket." After it molds to the shape of your body, all pants fit perfectly and the infamous frontal wedgie is a thing of the past. Just delicately wash the CamelAmmo and it's ready for use anytime and it's so discreet, no one will ever notice you have solved one of the biggest wardrobe dilemmas! Go immediately to CamelAmmo.com and purchase yours, it's only $10!

Review: Urban Decay Cream Shadow Eyeshadow

Urban Decay Cream Shadow Eyecolor - Midnight Rodeo
Urban Decay Cream Shadow
Midnight Rodeo

$17.00
Available at: beauty.com icon

Urban Decay has always been a favorite brand of mine. Their eye shadows are gorgeous with lots of eye-catching shimmer, and their primer potion is a must have. So, when I had the chance to test out their Urban Decay Cream Shadow, I was all about it.

I have to tell you that I am not usually a fan of cream shadows but UD swears that the shadow doesn’t crease due to their gel-based formula. The shadows come in a small tube, and have this little application stick similar to a lip gloss applicator. I just ended up putting the color on my hand and mixing it and then applying it on the lid because it gave me more control on the amount I was using.

Urban Decay Cream Shadow Eyecolor - Grass
Urban Decay Cream Shadow
Grass

$17.00
Available at: beauty.com icon

I tried out both the Midnight Rodeo and the Grass colors. I was most excited about Grass (a shimmery dark green) but ended up liking the Midnight Rodeo color (a champagne pink with silver glitter) the most. Grass wasn’t great on my darker skin tone but the Midnight Rodeo was so pretty! You can also mix two colors together which sounded cool but green and pink equaled yuck in my head so I nixed that idea.

The most important part was that the shadow really doesn’t crease at all. After application, it does dry pretty fast so blend quickly! I wore it all day long at work, and it still looked great when I left for the day. And I received several compliments on my eyes as well! I think some of the more neutral shades like Rehab or Whipped might make good base colors too. At $17 a tube it’s a pretty good buy as I think the tube will last you forever and they come in pretty cool colors. I suggest maybe testing some of them out first if you have the chance because some of the colors may not work with particular skin tones. I’m not completely off my powder shadows but may work this cream shadow in with my other shades.

Fashion Classic: DVF Wrap Dresses

Tuesday, June 23, 2009

--By Kim Moshtaghi

Diane von Furstenberg Julian Dress
Diane von Furstenberg "Julian" Dress

$216.00 (was $325-- save 33%!)
Available at: nordstrom.com icon

Fashion icon Diane von Furstenberg originally introduced the wrap dress to the fashion world in the early ‘70s. Since then style legends like Princess Diana, to modern celebrities like Eva Mendes, Paris Hilton and Eva Longoria have adopted it. The wrap dress has always been a fashion staple because of its diverse uses. It’s a dress that you can wear to work or a party by changing minor details such as the accessories you wear with it. Typically the wrap dress is a bust enhancing, hip reducing dress that can be worn by anyone, and looks best when worn at above the knee length. Since Diane von Furstenberg started this flattering dress phenomenon, all three of my recommendations are her design.

The first lovely Diane von Furstenberg Swirl Print Wrap Dress is gorgeous. It’s a bit different from the classic wrap because of its ruffle hem, and the swirl design gives it a livelier edge. The salsa-ish dress will increase heartbeats and have you wanting to hit the dance floor every time. This dress can be toned down by keeping the accessories to a minimum. A pair of simple earrings would be a great way to complete the look. The dress has a lot of personality, so don’t go overboard with makeup!

The Diane von Furstenberg “Edan” wrap dress is a classic. Opposite of the previous wrap dress mentioned, it is a simple sophisticated dress that everyone can afford to keep as a staple in their closet. It’s always handy to have a black dress that fits well and looks great without being too overbearing. This dress differentiates itself by having a collared top and it flares more from the hips. The flared bottom and collar top add professionalism, making it perfect for the office.

Although there are so many more DVF wrap dresses I adore, I had to narrow it down. My last featured dress is the chain link orange “Julian” wrap dress. This pattern creates a nice summery orange dress. And, to top it off, it’s on sale for $216! How can you pass up that opportunity from the mastermind herself? This dress looks exactly like one of the original old school dresses with bonded split cuffs, three quarter length sleeves, and the plunging v-neckline, therefore, I love it!

Review: Maybelline Lash Stiletto Mascara

Maybelline Lash Stiletto Ultimate Length Mascara
Maybelline Lash Stiletto Mascara

$7.49
Available at: drugstore.com

If I was pressed to pick an It cosmetic for the year, I'd have to go with mascara. From mechanisms that create vibrations in the wand, to new high-tech bristles that look more like kitchenware than makeup applicators, there are all sorts of crazy things going on in the mascara world. Personally, I'm always looking for the next big thing in mascara, but when then next big thing arrives with twenty of its frenemies the whole endeavor gets kind of intimidating. Sometimes you've just got to rely on your girls to point you in the right direction.

So, in the name of shopping journalism, three of our Stiletto Jungle contributors set off to sample one of the hot new mascaras on the market: Maybelline Lash Stiletto Mascara. Ok, so with name like Lash Stiletto, we were already more than a little intrigued. But, could the mascara with the fabulous name live up to our hopes? Here's what we found:

Po C. - Lash Stiletto Mascara Review
The Lash Stiletto Mascara was nice and dark and very easy to apply, however I did notice a little clumping on my bottom lashes. My eyelashes are not very thick, so I generally need a mascara with more bristles to be volumizing enough for me. What I liked was that it lasted the entire workday, so I will certainly be using it again. I will keep it in mind for use in conjunction with nights out when I'm sporting false eyelashes.
--Po C., Merced, CA

Kim V. - Lash Stiletto Mascara Review
Maybelline Lash Stiletto Mascara definitely produces length for your lashes and it does not clump. There is a funny odor to the mascara when you open it, but the smell does not linger after you apply it. I like the Lash Stiletto brush better than the plastic brushes a lot of the newer mascaras use. This mascara is easily washable and not recommended if heading to the gym after work for a hard workout.
--Kim V., Orange County, CA

Tina B. - Lash Stiletto Mascara Review
I really like the Lash Stiletto Mascara. I like the applicator a lot-- it doesn't have a ton of mascara on it and you really can get every lash covered and separated. I tend to hate when your lashes are all clumped together, so this is a great one. I have actually received a few compliments on my eyes when wearing it. You can hardly tell it is on, and while planning a wedding, it even stays on when I cry! I would recommend this mascara and already have to my friends and coworkers.

It's time to party. I mean, you really don't need me to list any reasons you should agree with that statement, but just in case you're in disbelief... It's summer, it's warm, the beach is in its prime condition... Okay, that's enough, just throw a party already.

Thelma Meyer, the uber mom of nine behind the brand Mrs. Meyer's Clean Day is all about hosting parties and making sure your guests don't even realize it was any work. The book she penned, out now, Mrs. Meyer's Clean Home: No-Nonsense Advice That Will Inspire you to Clean Like the Dickens, has some fantastic tips that will make your next soiree the ultimate summer memory!

You just got white patio furniture - you thought it was very Miami-esque at the time and now after your "A Night in Spain" Party, Sangria has left its mark. Meyer says to dilute a teaspoon of detergent in a cup of lukewarm water and blot out the stain. Then mix one part white vinegar and two parts water, blot again and sponge off - there's hope for the next party!

Visit MrsMeyers.com and see the wonderful world of a true hostess from the Snap Pea Spring Cleaning Kit for only $7.50, to her All-Purpose Cleaner in five different scents. For my next Sunday brunchday, I will definitely be using some of Meyer's tips - might even scrub my patio cushions with mild soap and a scrub brush once and a while, good luck cleaning!

Aromatherapy Distillations
Revitalizing Gift Box

$29.70 (was $49.50-- save 40%!)
Available at: crabtreeandevelyn.com

Every time you turn around, there's another new bath and body line on the market. After a while it's kind of hard to get excited about yet another product release. But, when a bath and body pioneer with a strong-selling stock of core products decides that it's time to release a whole new line... well, then it starts to sound like something worth noticing.

Crabtree & Evelyn, maker of luxury botanical products for over 35 years, has just released the brand new Aromatherapy Distillations collection. This new body and home line combines essential oils and natural ingredients to create a holistic approach to care for both the senses and the skin. The line was created in collaboration with an aromatherapist and international perfumer, following aromatherapy principles, to create three groups of products that are designed to create specific sensory benefits. The line includes Relaxing, Revitalizing and Purifying blends.

Sounds great so far, right? But, as all of us compulsive product whores know, it's easy to get overwhelmed by aromatherapy. So, in the name of shopping journalism, we turned three Stiletto Jungle contributors loose with products from the Crabtree & Evelyn Aromatherapy Distillations Revitalizing and Purifying ranges. And the verdict is...

Po C.
I am a huge Crabtree & Evelyn fan so I was really excited to try the Eucalyptus + Lime Deep Cleansing Body Wash. It came in a very cute cylinder bottle with an easy to use push cap. On my first try, I was somewhat taken aback by the scent-- it was nothing like the fragrant Original Formula smell-- it was a bit stronger with a very heavy eucalyptus scent that kind of reminded me of household cleaners. Nevertheless, I used it daily for over a week, and I have to admit, have really grown to like it. The heavy scent gives me a seemingly authentic "squeaky clean" feeling-- kind of like the feeling I get from using Baking Soda & Peroxide toothpaste versus the standard popular toothpastes. It's great for after a dip in the hot tub/pool because it definitely gets rid of the chlorine feeling and smell, so with Summer on it's way in, I will continue to use this product until the bottle runs empty!
--Po C., Merced, CA

Jennifer P.
I have always enjoyed Crabtree & Evelyn products and once again they have not disappointed. The Lemon + Coriander Conditioning Body Lotion and Body Wash were amazing. The smell was sensational and my daughter commented that I smelled like "lemony soap". The body wash left my bathroom smelling like an aromatherapy session. The lotion was not heavy at all so it absorbed rather quickly and didn't leave a greasy feel to it. Count me in as a repeat customer of these two products.
--Jennifer, Long Beach, CA

Kim Moshtaghi
I absolutely loved the Lemon + Coriander Cleansing Body Polisher by Crabtree & Evelyn. This insanely impressive body exfoliator actually polished my body! I really wasn't optimistic when trying this product because I've tried so many of them trying to find one that manages to smooth my skin and get rid of the dead skin. This stuff works very well! After one use I could tell the difference in my entire body, especially my legs! My entire body felt softer than ever, even before applying lotion! I will definitely continue buying this product and recommending to everyone I know. I finally have found something that doesn't leave a bad after smell, and a product that gets the intended job done! Love it! Two thumbs up and two toes!

How To: Style a Summer Headband

Thursday, June 18, 2009

--By Kim Moshtaghi

Cara Accessories Crazy Daisy Flower Headband
Cara Accessories Headband

$38.00
Available at: nordstrom.com

Headbands are the simplest fashion accessory. They are a small and easy way to create big change for an entire hairstyle. Its many uses, the plethora of hairstyles that it creates and the wide array of available shapes, sizes and styles of the headband make it a must have accessory for this summer fashion season.

The purpose of the headband varies and is both related to its form and function. Of course they have become a staple in current fashion trends, but there are more useful reasons for wearing a headband this summer. In the summer months, none of us are free of the fear of sweat. Whether you are dealing with a fast-paced walk through the city or an outdoor mall on a hot day, a hot night dancing in the club or even during a workout, headbands are a great way to hide the sweat and prevent it from dripping in your eyes. These multi-purposes make a fashionable headband a must have this summer.

Headbands are often associated with hippie-like style. However, these flower-power inspirations have transformed and now have glam written all over them. A dramatic and sexy look can be created when wearing a headband an inch from the hair line. To finish this sexy look, simply pouf your hair behind the headband. This will not only create the dramatic and sexy look that you desire this summer, but it definitely gives ladies with no layers a little oomph in the hair department.

Headbands also vary in shape, size and style. Some come in stretchy nylon and/or polyester fabrics while others come in less malleable plastic-like materials. A more casual look can be attained with terry cloth headbands, which are great for sweat absorption. Almost all of these headbands will come in a variety of colors, sizes, textures and patterns. These varied models are making the headband a versatile hair accessory. These versatile characteristics are responsible for making the headband increasingly more present in runway shows and in the hair of models on magazine covers. Even celebrities like Brittany Snow and Eva Longoria have been sighted sporting the headband look recently. These endless options will allow you to create many summer hairstyles that suit your personal hair characteristics perfectly.

Metallic Headband Trio
Metallic Headband Trio

$9.99
Available at: target.com

For the trend followers, I have found the funkiest flower headband. It’s a thin yellow satin piece with a daisy carefully placed on the side. All of this is surrounded by fun, glitzy jewels. The flower is also surrounded by leaves with black and white dotted rhinestones. The leaves are feathery and one of them resembles a peacock feather. This Cara Accessories “Crazy Daisy” Flower Headband is punkish and very sassy, so the right look is needed to flaunt it well. Our very own contributing writer Jules Newmark would pull this headband off beautifully with her Paper Denim jeans and a white t-shirt. There are less-loud versions of this headband for those that love the flower feathery style, but would rather opt for solid colors or a less flashy look.

My next headband recommendation comes as part of a Metallic Headband Trio package. All three headbands differ in size and metallic tone. One is a dark brown, the other is in a bronze tone while the last is a shiny golden tint. These are very diverse and will go great with summer colors. The headbands are flexible and there is a strip on the inside which keeps the band in place. Take advantage of these useful features to create the perfect hair style.

This last accessory isn’t exactly a headband, but rather a hair piece. It is a simple flower on a bobby pin that can be placed anywhere. It can look good in your hair, on your clothes or anywhere you choose… get creative! I adore people who dare to wear a flower behind their ear; it’s a cheerful and carefree look. This Urban Outfitters Flower Bobby Pin would look nice if worn with a simple summer dress while out to lunch with friends on a nice patio café.

Twisted Silver Rope Bracelet

$40.00
After Coupon: $32.00
Available at: twisted-silver.com

I've been a big fan of Twisted Silver's rugged, chic jewelry designs for a while now. The combination of utilitarian metals like copper, brass and silver, and inventive design is impossible to resist. In fact, my Twisted Silver rope bracelet-- which I sadly lost in NYC last year-- was practically glued to my wrist for months at a time. It went with everything. It made suits look more fashionable and casual clothes look more dressy. I miss that bracelet, but I think I may snag a replacement this week.

Twisted Silver has just released a new Coupon Code that will score you 20% off all bracelets through June 22. Seriously, you will not regret adding a Twisted Silver bracelet to your casual jewelry wardrobe. I'm temped to just replace my much missed Rope Bracelet, but I kind of have my eye on the Beatnik Bracelet in Antiqued Silver and the more refined Alabaster Bracelet. Decisions, decisions.

To take advantage of this new Twisted Silver Coupon Code, click on any photo or linked text to link directly to that item or check out the entire bracelet selection at Twisted Silver. Make your selections, then copy-paste or type the Coupon Code below at checkout to receive 20% off your bracelet order.

I have been in New York for about a week now, and have quickly learned there are three necessities that you need in the City. Staying with my girlfriend from college, I’ve been getting a good feel for life here and its fast-paced, unpredictable weather. As much as I love New York, I have a new found appreciation for San Diego’s stable weather. Not knowing whether you’re going to get rained on doesn’t sound stimulating to me. I mean, when I’m wearing a jacket that isn’t water resistant with sandals that have serious slipping potential on a sunny day, the last thing I expect is a dreadful downpour. Well, in New York anything is fair game, so it is important to be prepared!

My first crucial item on the list is a stunning watch. It’s New York, so I wanted to pick a watch that is fashion savvy, but gets the job done on busy days. It’s easy to loose track of time in the city, and sometimes even the date! This D&G Dolce&Gabbana "Sandpiper Lady" Pavé Dial water resistant watch is perfect to wear in the city. Running around all the time, trying to deal with the major foot traffic, makes it crucial to be wearing a nice, yet a practical watch. Knowing the date and time will ensure on-time appointments, even in chaotic New York. This white, clean, big, fashionable watch will definitely complete phase one of my NY must haves. With water resistance up to 100 meters, you don’t have to freak out every time there is a drop of rain coming down.

Badgley Mischka Platinum Label Debra Shoulder Tote

Necessity number two is a medium size tote! Walking everywhere and wanting to take all the things you need to last the whole day without a pit stop at home, makes it convenient to have a large bag at all times. Basically, you’ll need it to fit your iPod, sunglasses, umbrella, makeup for the day, and, most importantly, hand sanitizer. This Badgley Mischka Platinum Label Debra Shoulder Tote is perfect.

Lastly, you’ll need a small short umbrella that will fit in any kind of bag, especially a medium size tote! This London Fog Women's Genie umbrella couldn’t be more fitting for a New Yorker: it’s stashable and adorable. Supposedly, it’s the world’s shortest umbrella-- I challenge you to find a smaller one! With this umbrella handy-- easy to take everywhere, or simply leave in your bag-- being drenched by the rain will never be an issue.

There you have it, three items that will make visiting or living in New York more enjoyable.
